SAS Ant Middleton is AXED by Channel 4

[Ant Middleton is AXED by Channel 4 due
to 'personal conduct' and will
no longer present SAS: Who Dares Wins after
calling BLM protesters 'scum' and
dismissing Covid pandemic
The adventurer, 40, has been axed from
his role as host of SAS: Who Dares Wins,
with Ant taking to social media and
vowing to 'stay positive'
A spokesperson for Channel 4
: 'Ant Middleton will not be taking part in
future series of SAS: Who Dares Wins'
'Following a number of discussions
Channel 4 and Minnow Films have had
with him in relation to his
personal conduct it has become
clear that our views and values are not aligned
and we will not be working with him again'
Ant's axing by Channel 4 comes after he
sparked controversy by referring to
Black Lives Matter protesters as
'absolute scum' last June
In March, the former soldier upset
fans when he announced that he was
continuing on with life as usual during
the Covid pandemic]

...the first time that I knew of Ant Middleton, it was when he climbed Everest and he shared that gruelling but spiritual experience and told so much of his life story...I really liked him as a person ...but then not so much in SAS, he was often pretty grim in that but that’s a huge concept of the show, I guess...anyway, he was probably my least favourite one in the episodes I watched...

It's all a persona in SAS though Ammi....have you ever watched one where someone quit....when he talks to them afterwards he is totally different and always gives them a hug and says nice things and stuff.

I don't think the show will be the same without him.....and they have got rid of a couple of the others too.

...yeah, I guess there’s that as well, Annie...did you watch his Everest climb...?...that was the first time I’d known of him and he’s had such a troubled past and I know is an inspiration to many as well...It was easy to see what a soul searching and spiritual experience, the Everest journey was for him...

I don't watch the show but anyone in the media that undermines or downplays Covid should face harsh consequences for doing so because people in the media can have an impact with what they say. He was given a platform and he used it terribly.

That's not even getting into the BLM stuff, which only racists typically take issue with.

Ridiculous decision

rusticgal 02-03-2021 01:39 PM

What a shame...I liked him.

[Channel 4 is blasted for
'spineless surrender to the PC police' after
sacking SAS Who Dares Wins star Ant Middleton
over his criticism of BLM and Covid lockdown rules
Ant Middleton declared Black Lives Matter
protesters 'absolute scum' last June
He also said he would ignore Covid advice,
but later apologised for the comment
Channel 4 axed the ex-commando,
saying 'our views and values are not aligned'
Piers Morgan said the decision was 'absurd,'
saying Middleton was a 'war hero']

Its a Start

WHAT DID ANT MIDDLETON SAY ABOUT BLM?

On June 14th, Ant Middleton responded to a video, adding his views: “The extreme left against the extreme right. When did two wrongs make a right. It was only a matter of time. BLM and EDL are not welcome on our streets, absolute scum. What a great example you are to your future generation. Bravo.”

The Channel 4 star later released an apology for his tweet, saying in a video: “I’d just like to clarify a tweet I’d put out at the weekend and deleted straight away once I’d re-read it and realised that it could cause offence. I put out a tweet or retweeted a video of the violence, the terror and chaos that was happening on the streets of London.

“Within that tweet I mentioned the BLM and EDL and the word ‘scum’. At no point was I calling the BLM scum and comparing the two organisations. I want to make that really, really clear. The word scum was used to describe the people in the video that were violent, that were causing terror on the streets of London and setting a bad example for our future generations.”

where are the lies?
