Season 13, Episode 9 - "The Snatch Game"
 

A week off, last week, because of the special episode they aired of the queens experiencing lockdown and how they managed the logistics of filming the season (I don't think anyone really needed that but, to anyone that watched it... well done! Was it nice?)

...so it wasn’t just me...I was looking for last week’s episode for...well, almost a week on Netflix...

...I was thinking...why has Shaun not made the thread, or anyone else made it...the things I’ve called you, Shaun...for not not making the thread...

Watched it at 3am because I wouldn't sleep. And yeah it was fine, nothing major.
I have always been curious of the timeline from sending audition tape to getting the call to filming. So it kind of answered to that.

I suppose Elliott or Uttica are in danger if they don't do well. Like "being in the top" well.
Kandy will probably be in the top due to the shouting or whatever Ru finds funny that we don't.
If Tina doesn't deliver here, then I'm officially not supporting her anymore. (not that I was fully behind her, but still)
Everybody on Instagram is posting photos of Gottmik as Paris Hilton, so I think it's either a win or a bottom two content.

Ru saved Kandy because she knew it would be Snatch Game next week only for Kandy to do mediocre and be safe, I-:skull:
And why are they pushing for Kandy to narrate every single scene? Bro we don't want her to be the Monique Heart or the Jujubee of the season :skull:

Snatch Game was alright, not one for the books because 3 of them bombed it + Tina and Kandy not doing well. So half of the cast was not performing good enough to make this Snatch Game memorable.
A little surprised Symone was not in the top 3? Though the top 3 was very deserving so I don't know who she would have replaced (maybe Rose? But Rose did well so a top 4 would have been fair enough)
Gottmik deserved that win. Paris Hilton was risky but it worked right from the start.


Runway wise, I actually like the flamingo though it took me 5 seconds to understand it :joker: Utica was my favorite, it was well executed and had a narrative to it. Obviously Symone did Symone and delivered something very powerful. The rest was fine.

Elliott kind of held back during the lipsync. Utica served and did well. Her "cookie" attitude worked well for the song.
I didn't want Elliott to leave but it was inevitable. Such a sweetheart and a nice personality. I don't know why, but I have a soft spot for him, I can't explain it.

A mediocre snatch game tbh. Rosé/Denali/Gottmik were the deserved top three but I thought everyone else sucked. After being double saved last week, Kandy and Symone seemed to just play on parts of their own personality rather than incorporate a character in the Snatch Game. Utica/Olivia/Elliott were the given bottom three though; although I would’ve made all three lip-sync, especially when Olivia’s runway was really ****.

It’s ridiculous that we’re ten weeks into the season and only FIVE queens have gone :skull:. Kandy narrating the entire episode again is making me worried she’s gonna make top four at this stage.

This season's favouritism with Kandy is really driving it into the ground, she basically played herself and got through? :skull:

loving rose/denali every week and gottmik is creeping up as a fav of mine, I feel like tina/kandy drags him down a bit tho

And to think we still have another double shantay and a return episode to go through before the finale :skull:

I’m just waiting for this season to hurry up and end now, hopefully with a Rosé win.

I hated it too, I still didn’t get flamingo after they pointed it out and she presented it so awkwardly on the runway. :skull:

It gave me flashbacks to Kennedy’s stoned dead chicken.

Y’all leave my Eliott alone :joker: It was cute, not the best but I somehow liked it a little :skull:
What made Kennedy’s outfit even worse is the delusion that went with it. What’a legendary moment though :laugh:

Snatch game was cute for what it was, gutted Utica didn’t do well though :(

Top 3 runways: Gottmik, Symone :love: , Utica - definitely redeemed herself

Disappointing look for Elliott as I know he can do better. Still really enjoying this season

It was probably the one episode this season that managed to outdo DRUK2. I like S13's Snatch Game a lot more than DRUK's. Gottmik, Rose, Symone and Denali turned in really strong performances. I've felt like they've overrated Gottmik a lot this season (don't hey me wrong, I like her) but I can't fault the decision to give her the win.

The bottom 2 was correct, as was Utica winning the lipsync, Eliott's lipsync was noticeably poor, while Utica kinda turned it out.

Finally, I really wish Kandy went home last week, I was so content when I turned it off as soon as it looked like she was going home, and her presence this week continues to be detrimental to the series as a whole.

Pretty blah episode overall... the snatch game was fine but there weren't any stand-out moments that we'll be quoting for years to come.

Denali, Rose, Gottmik and Tina all did well.
Symone and Kandy basically played themselves... but at least Symone gave a bit of history and knew the basics... I don't know who Patrick Starr is and I don't feel like I got to know anything. Also Symone's runway :clap1:
The other three were equally terrible... I'd honestly have let them all lipsync as well :laugh:

I am stuck in the predicament of "if X doesn't win I'm done" tbh... I don't see anyone else but Symone being worthy.

Gottmiks paris was awful..

I think Gottmik did well and is a justified winner for Snatch Game, although I wouldn't be mad at Symone winning at all, she was basically playing herself but she was consistently funny.

I think Symone gave a lot more to her character. I love how her and Rose chose people that we have no real idea what they were like. You can pretty much create a character around the person, which they both did really well. Miks Paris was just a typical "thats hawt" type impression thats been done a million times over the years. There was so much more she could've done with Paris too, so many catchphrases and 'ism's'

Symonne is a nasty racist for her impersonation

I don't get how they were all gagged over gotmik, her Paris was so basic, the only funny part was the voice change and after that she fell into one catchphrase and that was pretty much it.

I thought Rosé, Denali and Symone were all way better.

...I agree with Remy, Elliott is such a sweetheart...:lovedup:...it just so felt for me from the beginning that she was quite disadvantaged...she was the one who was voted to be the queen to go home out of her group and not quite accepted by the other group and thought to be a mole or something and treated with suspicion...she’s almost felt as though she’s been pushed aside to be a little wall flower or something and not quite taken seriously to be a possible winner...to have gotten this far when she probably feared that her experience was going to be so short is just...stunning...she’s stunning...:lovedup:..


...Snatch Game was so underwhelming in general, I felt...there was only really Symone for me, she shows natural comedy...and please Lord, can someone hold Niamh back from Kandy...Rose’s ‘funny Ireland accent’, the shade of it all...plus she’s literally called Mary, Queen of SCOTS...I love Gottmik and she looked so Paris but that’s as far as it was for me/her look...Paris is such a great Snatch o choose but Gottmik made her quite lukewarm, I thought...and Paris is never lukewarm...

...I loved the fascinating fascinators runway...:lovedup:...I know that I say that about all of the runways but style/looks is so much my thing...it took me a moment to realise Elliott’s flamingo but it was actually a pretty fabulous look...:lovedup:...they were all excellent again, though...Utica is such a creative style Queen, her fascinating picnic basket was gorgeous, like a fresh summer’s day...:love:...and her lipsync was ...so deliciously cookie Utica...:love:...Symone was just the most serene Goddess in white and her shot in the back was so creative also...divine...:love:...Denali’s vintage diner girl realness, Kandy’s fascinating name, Tina the horse lady etc...they were all the very best of fascinating queens...


...Elliott...:lovedup:...despite having a disadvantaged beginning to her story...she stayed and she stayed with her charm and she showed everyone that she’s a worthy Queen...:love:..
