I find the cheaper shampoos better for my hair. Mire expensive ones seem to weigh it down. I don't use conditioner either, but do use a hair mask every now and then.
|
whatever is there, makes zero difference. I do use bay rum after and that keeps my hair shiny and in good condition
|
currently using shea moisture's black castor oil shampoo and also their conditioner x

For years I spent a fortune on shampoo and conditioners that claimed to work all sorts of miracles, the last ones being on the cheaper scale at £15 per bottle but had brilliant reviews, I was still disappointed with them so then I started thinking back to when my hair was at its absolute healthiest and it's when I was a teenager and used whatever my mum bought/left out in the bathroom....so a while back I bought the herbal essences bio renew, £6 for the shampoo/conditioner set and they are decent sized bottles, they are AMAZING.
Tldr - Herbal essences bio renew |

Organic hemp oil is rich in essential fatty acids (EFAs) and omega 3, 6 and 9, essential for healthy looking hair, and is described as ‘nature’s most perfectly balanced oil’. In combination with a host of bioactive and organic extracts including bilberry extract and enriched with a blend of amino acids, this replenishing two in one shampoo and conditioner stimulates the hair leaving it looking and feeling refreshed and visibly conditioned. Hairburst at the moment, my hairs pretty long and it was always breaking and it's made a massive difference
Normally just basic tresemme though |

Having fine greasy hair I specifically pursued a shampoo keeping in mind certain ingredients to use/avoid and found this. I don’t give a fudge about the marketing. Hope this helps. This only costs about £6 and I don’t need to use conditioner, and I only use it a couple times a week. Hope that helps. |
£6
