Quote:

A 50-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of the indecent assault and murder of Stuart Lubbock at the home of Michael Barrymore.

Mr Lubbock, 31, was found dead in the TV presenter's pool in Roydon, Essex, in March 2001.

The man was arrested in Cheshire and is being questioned in custody, Essex Police said.

Mr Lubbock had been attending a party at the home of Mr Barrymore, 68, with eight other people.

A post-mortem examination found Mr Lubbock had suffered "horrific" injuries prior to his death, police said.

Alcohol, ecstasy and cocaine were found in his bloodstream.

Justice hopefully after all these years

...obviously no charges atm but I wonder how ‘certainty’ in a court of law could be established after 20yrs.../...I wonder what evidence there will be etc...

Yeah true Ammi
All these years later , hopefully there's justice and closure, what a horrible death .

Should rewatch the documentary out last year and see who was 30 at the time so I can hear the murderer talk about the situation. But I can’t be arsed.

I wonder who they arrested. There were only nine people at that party.
So excluding the woman and Barrymore, it could be any of the other seven.

I hope justice is finally served to this mans family.

It could be really hard.

However it seems there must be new information or new evidence brought to light, to implicate this individual.

For them to confidently arrest him.

Maybe some new forensic evidence?

It could well be Vanessa.
To have a direct link to this individual, very possibly.

....maybe someone has come forward who knows something of the events...?...

...Stuart Lubbock’s dad, Terry...was diagnosed with terminal illness just last month...if this is the person responsible for his son’s death then he may never see the accountability/justice of it all...all very sad and he must be feeling so hopeful now that they finally have the person who took his son’s life...
