NICOLA gives Scottish NURSES 4% pay rise
 

The 4% pay rise for NHS workers has seen Boris Johnson put under pressure to
do the same in England.

Scots NHS workers have been told their wages will increase by 4% as a
means of saying thank to for their hard work throughout the Coronavirus
pandemic.

"The Scottish Government is offering a 4% pay rise, which would deliver
guaranteed minimum increase of £1000 for those earning less than £25,000
and 5.4% increase for staff on lowest pay band...and all backdated to
December 2020.

One thing I agree with her on,

Rishi's was paltry

paying for votes in the next scot election.

It's not to be sneezed at, works out as £100 - £150 a month (pre-tax :idc: ) for most full time staff.

people have to seriously consider where we would have been now without the dedication of so many within the nhs. If that doesn't deserve a decent pay bump, i don't honestly know what does

Doesn't surprise me in the slightest.
As well as being firm as a leader another quality she has in abundance is genuine compassion and respect too.

She knows the debt owed to the Nurses, so it's no surprise to me that she has decreed this rise for them.

She needs to sort out the corrupt police Scotland now she seems to have found funding all of a sudden.

Get those cameras on the fascist bastards.

She should backdate it to the start of covid.
