[Police are appealing for help to find a
young university student who
has been missing in London for almost a week.
Richard Okorogheye, 19, is a student
at Oxford University and is believed to
have left his family home in
the Ladbroke Grove area of west London
at approximately 8.30pm on 22 March.
He was reported missing two days later,
on Wednesday 24 March.
Met Police said they are
"becoming increasingly
concerned" for Mr Okorogheye's welfare.
He is known to frequent the Westminster,
Hammersmith, and Fulham parts of London,
they added.
Chief Inspector Clare McCarthy of
the Met's Central West Command
Unit said: "Our officers have been working
tirelessly to locate Richard, using all investigative
opportunities and data enquires,
speaking with witnesses and trawling CCTV.
"We are following every lead possible and
are appealing for the public to help us
in our work.
If you may have seen Richard, please contact police.]

Police release new images of missing student as mother pleads for public’s help...




Detectives have released new images of missing student Richard Okorogheye as the teenager’s worried mother pleaded for the public’s help with the investigation into his disappearance.

The Metropolitan Police also renewed its appeal for information as it issued CCTV images from the night the 19-year-old was last seen over a week ago.

Mr Okorogheye is believed to have left his family home in the Ladbroke Grove area of west London on the evening of March 22 and was reported missing two days later.

Latest enquires have established he took
a taxi journey from the W2 area of London
to a residential street in Loughton.

I hope he is ok, but honestly, after this amount of time its most likely that he is not ok really. Especially if hes without his meds.

Its very sad and he obviously had planned it , tragic when parents have no clue as to their sons state of mind , and they are prob still clueless as to why he made this decision. My heart goes out to them.

It is truly tragic and there is clearly this very real elevated risk in young men - whenever you hear of a young woman going missing you immediately think foul play, kidnapping, potential murder but as soon as I saw this story I immediately thought suicide. In both cases it sadly usually turns out to be correct. So many stories of young lads in their late teens going missing from Universities, and so often they turn out to be suicide.

Yes could well be.
I think its having the medical problem
and have troubles at school.

His Mother must soon look at the body
sadly.

He has been shielding for a year due to sickle cell and only left the house for his blood transfusions

My question would be why he went so far from his home, he must have known Epping in some way, going into the Forest in the dark and finding a pond is some feat if you don't know the forest

His parents are of the opinion he met someone online and was meeting up with them
