today I have been pruning, tidying up and been raking out moss from patches on the lawns and reseeding.

Refilled the bird baths...did a bit of light weeding, we planted bee bombs last year so it’s hard to know at the moment what’s a weed unless it’s an obvious one

Sat in the sun, drank tea

leave the dandelions as they provide much needed food for bees in April.

I think i have a wasps nest as i have a wasp going in and out of one of my airbricks :amazed:

I had to stop one making a nest in the garage, 3 times she tried but sadly i had to stop her :(

But this is more suitable - round the back garden

Just been to the local garden centre - bloody freezing walking around with my trolley. Bought some roses, Buddleja, Saxifrages some tools and some compost and pots etc

not really gardening weather it was today

but i did go outside for a small bit, just to check up on the garden, most of it is growing nicely again

blossom in my plum, cherry, currant trees :love:

Planted some Parsley,Mint and Corriander today

I potted in a lovely Pink into a nice Italian pottery pot and put some Chrysanthemum seeds into a seed tray covered with clear wrap and popped in the greenhouse. I also edged the lawns.

And i just sprayed all the orchid leaves with food

raked oot the moss and cut and edged the grass yesterday, first cut of the year. will apply a feed to the grass in the evening and water it in. bought a book on orchids yesterday as i have 5 Moth Orchids and id like to know more about them -fascinating plant and last night there was a great bit about them on Gardeners World

I really want a Magnolia tree but not one that get too big,any ideas on the best ones to look for ?

Look for dwarf Magnolia's Kaz, though my ex neighbour planted what she thought was a dwarf version and it must be 20 feet :laugh:
