What do you mean? That's a bit of an extreme thing to say.

It isn't, this is the rhetoric of groups that believe in (are terrified of) "white genocide", an imaginary goblin that's out to get them at every turn. The unoppressed using the language of oppression to push a false narrative.

If it's imaginary, why does it bother you? Why does something imaginary get you riled up?

? White genocide doesn't bother me or rile me up :think: what a strange assertion. What bothers me and riles me up is the mindset, attitudes and (in some cases) actions of those who truly believe it does exist. Scared people do stupid things, even if their fears are unfounded.

It's a rhetoric that feeds into the mindset of xenophobes, racists and white supremacists. It's these messages they use to further those ideologies and bring people over to their way of thinking. Why WOULDN'T that "rile me up"?

Actually Arista, I'd like to see the whole routine because I strongly suspect there's more context to the "joke". A 33 second clip of what's clearly a longer comedy skit is meaningless - I don't know what message he's trying to put across at all. If it really is "wah poor me I'm getting blamed for stuff!" then that's very, very sad :umm2:. But I wonder if the mantrum is actually satire.

If they've been assaulted for nothing more than how they look then yes.

1) It's not the same thing or even close to it and

2) There's absolutely no indication that this is widespread or endemic, which is why I'm not interested in cherry-picked tweets.

Calling something "Cherry-Picked or a" Conspiracy" is not an argument/debate. It's the opposite, it's tactics used to avoid and shut down the argument/debate. It's denial.

No it's accurate - one video is evidence of nothing, and there is no evidence of widescale or endemic attacks on white people for their race. If there is, show it, not cherry-picked youtube/social media videos.

I'm not downplaying it, the video is horrible, it just isn't evidence of a widespread problem that would justify white genocide hysteria.

I suspected as much and this is why I was looking for a longer clip; from what I've seen of him, he does these over-the-top tantrums as satire and the message is actually something different.

I don't believe I've said anywhere that there's widescale, epidemic attacks. I was just showing a video of some vile racism. I thought we'd all be on board with condemning it, raising awareness of it so that it can be stopped.

My television keeps telling me to call out racism when I see it, so I did.

Who has mentioned white genocide, apart from yourself.
