143 Total Councils 21 County Councils 35 Metropolitan Councils 28 Unitary Authorities 59 District Authorities Regional Mayors Cambridge & Peterborough (Con) Greater Manchester (Lab) Liverpool City Region (Lab) London (Lab) Tees Valley (Con) West Midlands (Con) West of England (Con) West Yorkshire (Undeclared) And Scotland has the SNP trying to Stay in Full Power Ref : SkyNewsHD All Out Politics Northern Ireland not in this. This Local Elections was meant to be last year. So this could be a bigger turn out. |

has Labour getting more level Local Elections are this Thursday (Last Year they cancelled them) best to take your own pen or pencil. I will be going very early. Some results may not come until the following Monday. Will Covid effect the Turnout, many think it could. |

I'm not expecting to be celebrating much, if anything over this weekend from these elections.
I hope Labour retain power in the Welsh assembly, overall they've done well in Wales in the pandemic. I would love to see Nicola Sturgeon with the SNP get a repeat result of last time or just get those extra seats to win something, that was thought likely impossible under PR, to get an overall majority. I can't believe up in the North East another seat will fall to the Cons. Really strange to reject a Con party in 2019. To now add to it's power to be more heartless to the weakest in society. Politics is a strange and crazy mess all through at present We need PR now for ALL elections. It's only Parliamentary and council ones that don't use PR in some way now. |
