Arsenal: New Buyers?
Arsenal legends Thierry Henry, Dennis Bergkamp and Patrick Vieira have joined Spotify founder and billionaire Daniel Ek's bid to buy the club.
Owner Stan Kroenke has no intention to sell, but more than 1,000 fans protested outside Emirates Stadium on Friday calling for him to quit. Arsenal had announced they were one of 12 founding members of the European Super League the previous Sunday. But just 48 hours later, they withdrew and apologised to fans. Kroenke's son, Josh, told an Arsenal fans forum on Thursday that his family have no intention of selling and promised to engage with fans in future - he refused to answer a question about their exit strategy, responding: "I'm not willing to answer that question because we have no intention of selling." On Friday, Swedish businessman Ek, 38, who is worth a reported 4.7 billion US dollars (£3.38bn) tweeted: "As a kid growing up, I've cheered for Arsenal as long as I can remember. If KSE would like to sell Arsenal I'd be happy to throw my hat in the ring." https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/56890624 |
I'd love to see it but doubt it'll happen. The deal the Kroenke's have got at Arsenal is too sweet for them to give up. Even if fans, pundits etc are spitting fire at how the Kroenke's have ruined arsenal that bunch of grasping muthafUkKas aint going no where.

He reckons he's got the money. |

I dont see it cuz the Kroenke's would be giving up so much. They reckon Ek is worth about 2.1 billion but the Kroenke's want at least three for Arsenal. If Ek bid in excess then it might happen but he's got to realise alot of capital. The fact Ek has legends involved wont bother the Kroenke's.
I'd love to see them out but its too difficult for anyone to buy the club |
wait till the start of the new season when the crowds are back at every game, that will make a difference if they are all shouting out every week

Thierry confirms he has met with Daniel Ek and is part of the group behind the bid for Arsenal |
i think it's up to fans to show their ongoing discontent with owners - peacefully of course

I've said it in the past on here and I'll say it again, Football needs to stop having people buy these clubs who own other Sports teams, half the time they just bleed teams like Arsenal dry to help out the other Sports teams that they own, it's a disgraceful practice that needs to stop imo. The FA needs to tell these Arsenal owners that it's either Arsenal or your American Sports teams, it should never be both. |
