Hugging- do you welcome its return
It had become the normal, meet some random you used to work with in the street and they lean in for a hug, can't say I missed it and was glad of the opportunity not to have that at times awkward interaction
family yes of course, every man and his dog just no :yuk: and that is how it will be staying |
…I guess that I never hugged anyone that would have felt like an awkward hug as such…I do hug but only with the people that I’m closest to really../ that it feels very natural with…but yes, there will be hugs……

Was in Sainsburys last week and an ex colleague insisted on an elbow bump...cringe  I know she would have been reaching with her outstretched arms in pre covid times, not missed that at all  |

….no, not with ones that I only have a relationship of ‘colleague’ with…there are some that are also very close friends, so we’re obviously huggers …..but I don’t have that with everyone…the difficult bit has actually been children because they’re so spontaneous aren’t they, and just go right ahead there in displaying their affection… I was actually thinking about this last night, who would be the first person I’d hug…and wondering when I’d ever let go again…there might be an arrest following it so keep your eye on news stories for this crazy lady who wouldn’t let go and didn’t care…it was worth the prison sentence…... |
i'm not a hugger by nature ... trees or humans
I will happily shake hands though ... and i can get my wipes out afterward so that remains the best solution for me |
I don't hug people generally.
Obviously close family and friends. I haven't through the pandemic so far, except to my Mum when her Sister, my Aunt was cruelly lost because of covid. I still won't be hugging, I'm not joining the great get out free for all yet. |
Everyone I ever hug lives with me :joker:.
Well actually one of my old friends from school who I see (pre-Covid) 3 or 4 times a year spontaneously turned into a "manly hugger" about 5 years ago. I've known him since I was literally a toddler, and we managed 30 full years without hugging :oh:. It was unsettling and it can stay gone :nono:. |
I don't know why the government are saying yes now to hugging , I'm not hugging anyone . So basically they'll be hugging with masks? , what's point.
|
I’m a massive hugger and generally think it’s a really nice display of affection to someone.

Yes, I will be hugging anyone who wants one.
|
No I'm not a hugger at all. Even sometimes Mey wife leans in for a hug and I'm like get off!
|
i dont hug anyone so no change
|
I'm not a fan of stranger/acquaintance hugs, Gav and the kids are the only ones I really hugged anyway and I've still been able to do that. I suppose I'm looking forward to seeing my best girl friends and giving them a hug because I missed them so much :')

Didn’t even realise it had been illegal

Both kids love to hug their Mammy...as do their partners.
Hubby’s family are all big on hugging as well, 2 of my best friends will be in the queue for a big hug. Other than that unless someone looks like they really need a hug then I don’t bother, a big smile will suffice. |

And and and, in my defence, I’ve hugged people outdoors, and usually in masks!!! So it’s not that bad |
