Jonathan has said he's going to quit Big Brother. Big Brother contestant Jonathan will quit the show on Thursday.

The 49-year-old Londoner reduced the normally boisterous housemates to silence and tears on Wednesday by pouring out his heart about his plans to make his exit.

The self-made millionaire, who runs a media agency, told Big Brother he would sleep on his decision before leaving the house on Thursday morning.

Jonathan listed a number of items that he had put on hold or "risked" to join the reality TV show, adding: "I've been so reckless to do this".

He told Charley a few 'home truths' about her behaviour and told the twins, Liam, Carole and Ziggy that he had appreciated the time spent with them especially and wished they well in the contest.

He said being in the house had made him realise that he had been looking for acceptance and assured his housemates his decision to go was nothing to do with any of them.

"I feel like I've won Big Brother because I've got something out of it," he added.

By the end of his heart-to-heart talk, the usually noisy housemates had been stunned into silence and both Carole and Charley were crying.

He is expected to leave the house shortly.

Jonathan's good news...

Despite announcing his imminent departure to his fellow housemates yesterday, Jonathan has decided he wants to remain in the House.

"If you'll have me, I'll stay," Jonathan asked Big Brother in the Diary Room.

"Big Brother will definitely have you," he was told.

"I know that," he confidently replied. "Thank you."

Later, Carole was thrilled when Jonathan told her the good news in the garden. She gave her friend a great, big hug and laughed with delight.

"This is so funny," giggled Carole.

"It's so pathetic," said an embarrassed Jonathan.

"Either we gotta suffer each other for another week," Carole continued, speaking of the forthcoming eviction,"or you've gotta suffer this lot for another week..."

"... without you," groaned Jonathan.

"You'll get by," she replied, "you've got Gerry."

"If we stay together shall we refuse to be the parents?" Carole asked, referring to the housework they do for the younger housemates.

"We'll make a mess. I think we should do a dirty protest," he suggested.

"Yes we will," Carole beamed. "That'd be fun."

There's nothing like dirty fun between friends.

I think it would be great (if Carole stays) if they both just sit on their a**es for once and do nothing for a week. Not with attitude, just say we've done our part, your turn. We're taking a break. See what happens, who picks up the workload. If they can manage to stay put and just get on with things. Apparently, from what I've read, Charley accused Zig of flashing her, and he got really offended, threatened to leave, but decided he didn't want to give her the satisfaction. Also read that BB reviewed footage, and can't find any footage of what Charley is accusing. Could she have lied? Shock! :rolleyes:
