Aired in the US last night

Wow the collab we never knew we needed :clap1::clap1:

Niamh. 27-05-2021 02:28 PM

Will be watching this tonight

bitontheslide 27-05-2021 02:29 PM

i hate that song, it's put me off watching it

I didn't know Jennifer Aniston and David Schwimmwr really fancied one another. Woah

I loved every second of it. Had a bit of a cry at the end.

The pivot scene made my stomach hurt I was laughing that much

Dogeatdog 27-05-2021 09:00 PM

A really great reunion. Loved watching all the behind the scenes footage and it was sad seeing them so emotional when filming the finale.

Niamh. 27-05-2021 09:07 PM

Aw loved that, I'm glad now it wasn't an episode

Jake. 27-05-2021 09:38 PM

I went in a bit sceptical but yeah I loved it. Really wholesome and everything you could want from a reunion

Is Matthew Perry OK though, did something bad happen to him? He was always my favourite [emoji173]

He’s had a pretty long history with prescription medication IIRC - I’m not sure if that’s still the case

Jake. 27-05-2021 10:41 PM

He said himself that he can’t remember filming 3 series of the show or something

Yeah he's had on-and-off problems with prescription painkiller addiction. He was in a jet-ski accident, apparently, so was on them legitimately but got hooked. I think the season where he was "working away" in Oklahoma was actually because he was in rehab.

I think he's OK now but you can definitely see the toll it's taken.

I also didn't know that Matt LeBlanc was injured on set with that shoulder dislocation. I remember the "falling off the bed" scene from when it aired though - it was so obvious that it had been shoehorned in there to cover up a real injury :joker:.

Ah that's very sad, I know he was in a few films after and he seemed OK but he's definitely a different person now to when Friends was filming

I watched the reunion with my 21 year old daughter tonight, I watched Friends from the beginning when I was 16 and she knew more about it than I did

rusticgal 28-05-2021 12:07 AM

Going to watch it tomorrow....my son watched it...both my sons grew up with it. He said I’m going to love it and it’s going to make me cry...but then it doesn’t take much to make me cry

I love Gaga, but that whole scene was the most awkward of the show... and it felt forced.

Mokka 28-05-2021 05:36 AM

The show was beautiful overall. There were lots of intriguing behind the scene moments and factoids to keep you engaged, and overall you just felt so much love from everyone involved in the show. It was a delight to watch!

Yeah that was awful gaga ruined that

Ammi 28-05-2021 06:20 AM

….something that’s been watched 100 billion times is just WOW…that took it beyond being just a popular series into being a part of many people’s lives…I recall discussions with friends about which Friends character we were …many of my girly friends are Monica’s but no one ever wanted to be a Monica……

…from the moment they walked back onto the set, the emotion just hit them, didn't it…it was a visible thing and just beautiful to see ….…

I agree, especially given the number of shows from the past that it's turned out were pretty grim behind the scenes. I'm looking at YOU, Buffy/Angel... and you, One Tree Hill. :fist:

I think it was awkward because Gaga seemingly didn't play it tongue-in-cheek, when there are SEVERAL examples in the show of Phoebe not liking it/getting annoyed when people "add their own flair" to her songs.

They kind of covered that but I think they should have leaned into that even more with Gaga totally belting it out and all the extras coming in and then Phoebe being like "Meh... I mean your version was okay but..."

Nicky91 28-05-2021 08:46 AM

will be broadcasted in my nation too this weekend

Yeah this is what I thought was going to happen

Daniel. 28-05-2021 10:57 AM

It was gorgeous.

People who don't like friends are weird

Babayaro. 28-05-2021 11:41 AM

Loved it
