Love Island's Demi Jones, 22, reveals she has thyroid cancer

[Love Island's Demi Jones, 22, reveals
she has thyroid cancer
and vows to 'stay strong' and 'bounce back'
after devastating diagnosis
Demi, 22, was diagnosed with thyroid cancer
after having a golf ball sized lump removed
from her neck last month
The reality star first spotted the
lump in 2019 but put off getting
it checked as she was in her final year
of university
She had the lump checked over before
appearing on Love Island in February 2020
and was initially given the all-clear after a scan
Due to her father previously battling cancer
as a result of misdiagnosis,
Demi pushed to have her lump
checked again this year ]

I'm not a love island fan ,so I don't know her.
But devastating news to be told that , especially at such a young age too.

Hopefully she'll be okay.

Horrible news to be told though.

Such awful news she was so lovely on LI and had a great personality as well. I really hope she makes a strong recovery :’(

…I was reading that her dad had recently battled with cancer and that was something that caused her to have the lump checked out straight away, so it’s something that has been diagnosed very early…such a relief and important thing…and the diagnosis seems very positive…I wish her a full recovery and love to her through her treatments….…

…**** cancer…

My friend hd thyroid cancer in her 20s too. She had surgery and radio therapy and thankfully years later is well and doesn't even think of it too much now. Fingers crossed Demi will be treated quickly and they'll get rid of it. Awful thing for nyone to go through.
