I hope it doesnt go to Milan, one of the most boring cities in the world, rivaling rottendam.

Nicky, I made an American Song Contest thread and it’s not yet 2022 either. It’s okay

Nicky91 25-05-2021 01:23 PM

for Belgium it is Wallonia's turn now,

i can think of Stromae somehow (especially with Flanders having had a big name act this year, and two french songs having done well, and he isn't a relevant name or unrealistic anymore so maybe he might be interested just to release some music again)

They really need to reassess the voting format.
This year was brutal in the way it was delivered.
I guess it makes for good TV but it is also very negative, the majority of the contestant were visibly upset when their results were announced, its supposed to be a night of fun not of dashing peoples dreams.

Also the jury vote needs to go now.
Its clear the juries in most countries are just as biased the public, so whats the point in it?

Jay28jay2 25-05-2021 01:26 PM

I’ve had a look at a couple of the potential hosts, and Verona Arena would be AMAZING if they build a roof on but I can’t imagine it happening, it just screams Italy

Also would love the RCF Arena, could host the biggest Eurovision ever.

Has a host ever had to build a roof before? I can’t remember any previous entries.

No, juries can stay

otherwise we only have the televoters, which will give dumb results

This performance from Verona Arena was stunning

Maybe they could just risk it without a roof.

Nicky91 25-05-2021 01:30 PM

RCF Arena is a no go, cuz outdoors

I think Milan is more likely, because it's easier to get to.
But Rome would be great.

Milan has experience with big show too, MTV EMA in 2015

Vanessa 25-05-2021 01:33 PM

I've been to Milan, I love it.

Nicky91 25-05-2021 01:33 PM

doesn't matter which venue since they would likely opt for scenario C or D anyway

one of worst affected countries by covid

so we won't get any live performances, but live on tapes i think

Stunning, I didn’t realise that was the same place

It would be a very interesting show if so, but the music may cause the arena to crumble 😳

UserSince2005 25-05-2021 01:57 PM

RCF Arena wouldn't work for eurovision.
Its less an arena and more a field.

Black Dagger 25-05-2021 02:11 PM

BBC should pull together a super group of Drag Race UK girls from Series 1 to 3.
Give em a **** song.
Let them have fun.
We will get a few points then.

There needs to be repercussions.

How can the Macedonian jury give Serbia 12 points out of their total 20 points?

It's ludicrous.

The jury need arresting to be honest.
Trial them at the Hague.

Greece & Cyprus, Moldova & Russia/Romania. Also need investigating.

I would really like to know who pays for the Jurors' time.
It better not be the EBU, and therefore BBC licence fee payers money.

Things are better in Italy now.
They could do a test event.

Nicky91 25-05-2021 04:15 PM

why not something like Mumford & Sons for UK

bit of folk rock would be nice i think

Nicky91 26-05-2021 08:58 AM

my dream act for Germany next year would be Rammstein

maybe too high profile, but i would love to hear Till's opinion on this years winner anyway, since that is right up his alley
