2021/22 Premier League discussion thread

We now have our full and final list of 20 teams now Brentford have won the playoffs, so a thread must be made :ninja2: the Euros and summer transfer window will be over before we know it.

Nicky91 29-05-2021 04:27 PM

bold prediction: Leeds will win the title

i feel it on my water, they will make some incredible transfer signings too this summer

Calderyon 29-05-2021 05:14 PM

Expecting one of the top 6 (minus Tottenham) + Leicester to win it.

Maybe West Ham if they can challenge the big 5 and not suffer silly losses to weaker teams.

Shaun 29-05-2021 09:02 PM

Bold claim that

Calderyon 29-05-2021 09:19 PM

Better keep it safe.

It's probably between Man City/Liverpool again though.

Nicky91 30-05-2021 07:38 AM

tbh Brentford's best shot at survival is if Burnley, Wolves **** up, and i guess Villa isn't unbeatable either

so those should be main goal to win those matches, and fight for some points against some of bigger teams (but tbh the bigger team matches aren't important results wise since you only need enough points to avoid relegation, even if its barely avoiding relegation)

bots 30-05-2021 10:59 AM

It's going to be city, liverpool or chelsea

Calderyon 30-05-2021 11:09 AM

Man City's win odds are already ridiculously low according to oddschecker.

Liverpool, Chelsea, Man Utd next. Then a big gap followed by Tottenham, Leicester, Arsenal. After that the others.

Shaun 30-05-2021 12:42 PM

I don't see Liverpool contending. Their supposed excuse for the dismal performance this season was the injuries but Leicester honestly had the same level and still nearly beat them in the table.

I think it's between City and Chelsea.

We had no defenders till like feb and had to play midfielders in defence so taking into account we still finished 3rd with 3 very inexperienced young defenders is amazing tbh we will have a much stronger defence and hopefully a much stronger midfield and attack especially if we replace Gini with a goal scoring midfielder and replace Origi and Shaqiri with Daka and Raphina and bring Elliot into the first team fold we will be in a perfect position to regain our title

bots 30-05-2021 03:39 PM

city have the best strength and depth which will always put them at an advantage over the others. Also, with the euros on through the summer, there will be next to no break for the top players which always leads to fatigue and injury.

I think many of the players are looking jaded already, the exception being chelsea last night, but at what cost

Nicky91 14-07-2021 01:26 PM

Rashford will miss the begin of the new season

will receive surgery on his shoulder and is unavailable until end of October

Rashford hoped for the surgery immediately after the Euro's but surgeon who will do this is only end of this month available again

If Man City gets Kane, it's their league title to lose yet again.
