Holby City Axed

Vanessa 02-06-2021 10:46 AM

Oh no.
At least we still have Casualty.

joeysteele 02-06-2021 11:04 AM

Sad, prefer Holby to Casualty now if I watch them.

Liam- 02-06-2021 11:04 AM

Really not surprised, it’s been bad for a pretty long time now

Cherie 02-06-2021 11:05 AM

Not before time, not watched it for years

Greg! 02-06-2021 11:20 AM

Omg never watched a single ep but I’m sad about this. Will watch the last ep cos I’m interested how such a long running show will end

Amy Jade 02-06-2021 11:24 AM

I stopped watching ages ago, when the dizzy blonde was written out (Chantelle?) It went so bad about 2 months later. Is Jac still in it?

bots 02-06-2021 11:28 AM

it should have ended 22 years ago

arista 02-06-2021 12:07 PM

Will end in March 2022.

Whut. How does portraying one of the most important (and underappreciated!) jobs in the country not reflect, represent, and serve?

Tories probably got confused and thought it was part of the NHS and told the BBC to axe ha

Cherie 02-06-2021 12:15 PM

is Charley still in it

Wouldn't actually surprise me if seeing a positive representation of the NHS and the impact of cuts gave some of them itchy necks...

Mate he's never gonna leave. He's had several overdoses, been shot, decapitated, stabbed, and about a zillion heart attacks.

Vanessa 02-06-2021 12:19 PM

Lately I've enjoyed casualty more. So I'm glad it's staying.

Not it's lack of funding
the BBC has still got more to Axe
and Journalist's/Production teams to sack

GoldHeart 02-06-2021 01:49 PM

I stopped watching it a very long time ago anyway, I saw clips from an episode a few weeks ago but I didn't know who anyone was . But I recognised Squiggle from EastEnders:laugh: .

"Across the UK".

They will probably replace it with a new regional drama, they have productions all over the UK except North of England so will probably create something similar to Waterloo Road.

They still have Casualty and Doctors reflecting that industry anyway.

Nicky91 02-06-2021 01:58 PM

well to all series come an end eventually with all fairness

never seen it, but if it got bad reviews well it's worth giving the axe but tbh still good it lasted for that long time anyway

onwards to new career ventures for the cast i'd say, always look on the bright side of life

Tom4784 02-06-2021 02:44 PM

I hadn't watched it since I was little but I'm surprised to see it axed, it's one of those shows that you'd just expect to be around forever.

I'm so pleased and Casualty next and that'll make my year . Never watched a single episode of either.

You've never watched either so it'll make your year to see them axed?
