Apple music / dolby atmos question
I don’t know if this sounds stupid but none of the music currently downloaded on my iphone is dolby atmos?
It says that you have to delete the song(s) and redownload to get it to be dolby but how do you know what music is and isn’t dolby compatible :suspect: |
Also I redownloaded chromatica and idk if I like it like this :worry:
It seems to jump from being quiet to loud pretty frequently Is it supposed to be more “immersive”? |

If you search the albums on Apple Music (not your library) they say either Dolby Atmos/lossless/Apple digital master on the albums page
I can get everything to work apart from Chromatica :skull: the only songs on it that work for me are RoM and CIII:skull: |
the lossless music doesnt have any compression so you hear the full dynamic range of the music going from quiet to loud. That's how it was recorded and how it is meant to be listened to. Its been artificially compressed for decades

Finally got this working :hee:

I disabled atmos and lossless coz apparently the file sizes are huge
I have 3600 tracks and 29GB and if they were all atmos/lossless it’d be like 100GB+ and my phone is only 64GB :worry: |
i had to uninstall itunes and then reinstall it for it to appear as an option on my pc. It's up and running now and much improved
