What’s the best freebie you’ve ever had?

I’ve had a lot of luck recently and managed to get:

Chiropractic session
Massage
Waxing
Spray tan
Botox
A PT

Best freebie ever is free tickets to tonight's bingo. I won 160 quid. Only spent a couple of quid on a drink.

Beso 12-06-2021 11:43 PM

I found 180 quid in an envelope waiting at basildon bus station, it was in a brown envelope...couldnt believe luck
Quickly snaffled it up, ignoring the name on the envelope as I did.

Funny twist to the story, I was having a fag right in the same spot I got the fine for flicking my butt away..

Didnt get the fine in the end, and hopefully picked up the woeful litter finers wages a few weeks after.

I forgot about all that, cant believe i never mentioned it all..

Boo you corona

Oh interesting... I don't sweat a lot... but I didn't know that was a thing

Mokka 13-06-2021 11:10 PM

My bosses gave me a paddle board that I had ordered for myself this spring... that was nice :flutter:

They are selling for $1000+ here and hard to find

…I hadn’t realised that botox was used for things other than the cosmetic aspect, I’m just reading an article now and it’s very effective for hands and armpits…I hope that you’re finding it makes a huge difference for you, Smithy….

I'm sure it's used to treat headaches too. People who suffer chronic migraines etc.

…yeah, there are quite a few medical benefits it has that I hadn’t realised…sweating obviously has been said, not just hands and armpits but feet as well…although, the injections on the feet are meant to be quite painful…it also works for general blood circulation issues so ‘cold hands’ as well…neck spasms is something else it’s used for and also some irregular heartbeat conditions…but I’m not sure how that injection would work…also some scarring tissues are helped immensely with Botox…and as you say, Marsh…chronic migraines also…

Oh they weren’t massively bad, it’s more an anxiety thing that they’d sometimes sweat, so I thought why not if it’s free :hee:

…yeah of course, why not…I realise that it’s part of how your anxiety display outwardly with your hands…but if they’re improved and saying to your psyche…’look I’m not sweating so I’m controlling my anxiety..’…I wonder if it will help emotionally as well and actually lessen the severity of those emotions felt…

…yeah I didn’t think that people might have it because of wrinkly armpits……

bots 15-06-2021 08:17 AM

the problem is that if you botox your armpits and hands, its just going to lead to an even sweatier arse crack, i know which i would prefer :hee:

You found an envelope containing money, with someone’s name on it and you pocketed it?
You are one sick individual, oh but wait, Basildon, no surprise there then, as you were.

Dogeatdog 25-06-2021 05:33 PM

Got a free Dominos once. I ordered it for collection and to pay for it when I got there. I walked up to the counter, said I had an order for collection and she just handed me the pizza and said “thanks have a good evening” and walked off. I stood their for a few seconds a bit confused and just shouted “thank you” as I paced out the door to my car .

Free food always tastes better.
