band of ocean around Antarctica that has been
reclassified as the Southern Ocean by
National Geographic cartographers.
The strait would once have been considered
part of the Pacific.]

Surely the Southern Ocean, or Arctic Ocean as it's also known, has been called that for ages.

i believe it's known as "the bath" to the local species
