it makes little sense to fill shelves with stuff that doesn't sell. It stops the company holding stock of things it can sell. It's simple economics. They may have destroyed fake PS5's but they most certainly wont have destroyed the real articles unless it was some employee scam

It's the throw away culture of the boomer generation.
