Drop Dead Gorgeous is a pretty obscure movie that I just think is the funniest thing I’ve ever seen. Pretty massive cast too (Kirsten Dunst, Alison Janney, Kirstie Alley, Denise Richards, Amy Adams, Brittany Murphy etc).

I think it’s getting more recognition now thanks to being on some streaming services thankfully.

If you haven’t seen it and like dark comedy I really recommend it - it’s about a teenage beauty pageant in small town America and is filmed like a mockumentary. It’s hilarious.

I love DDG its far funnier than comedy's released around the same time that people call classics

:joker: Still makes me laugh every time it's brought up :flutter:. Will always have a soft spot for The Tribe and their silly New Zealand muddled-up vowels. Classic characters like Allie, Ember, Elice and Lix.

I love their accents and dramatic pauses. It's a real shame Channel 5 just abandoned it because the season they were prepping for had a good concept and a lot of the cast who had disappeared for the Techno storyline were set to return (Bray, Tai-San, KC, Alice) but C5 wanted a spin off instead

Im like the only person who remembers the film Indian in The Cupboard

Here's a few "obscure" classics I totally forgot about from my childhood that I re-watched recently..

The Pagemaster, Now & Then and The Sandlot

(Sandlot is the best, brilliant kids movie).

A few years ago my mum clearned out the attic and the videos and dvds up there were so funny but looking online I should have sold them!

Who remembers these?

• The Swan Princess
• The Princess and the Goblin
• The Last Unicorn
• FernGully
• Good Burger

Eerie Indiana anyone? I rewatched it a few years back with Luke and he loved it too. It only ran for 1 season though i think, same with my favourite show as a teenager My So Called Life, loved that no idea why they never made a second season

Amy Jade 23-06-2021 04:02 PM

was Eerie Indiana the one with the guy from Hocus Pocus?

My step brother used to watch that, I think on Nickelodeon or something, definitely sky.

What was that CBBC show in the mid-late 90s called where those two young lads flew around inside an invisible spherical shaped thing, like a big ball? Can never remember the name. :omgno:

EDIT: found it - AQUILA!
