What car do you drive?

Love driving and satisfying cleaning a car for end result.

This is my third Volvo.

It's so economical for a big car, has lots of tech, Bowers & Wilkins, 360 camera, blind spot system, parking sensors all around, heated steering wheel/seats, autonomous driving, pilot assist etc.

What you got?

i'm not going to name my car, but i recently upgraded to one 18 months old, and it has brought all the joy back into driving again. It has all the latest tech, which as a "real driver" i didn't think i would need, but it's just fantastic and takes so much of the stress away. I would never go back now

I was looking at an A class then I got one as a loan car whilst one of mine was being repaired and now don't like it.

I didn't like how it drove.

Each to their own though. If I didn't have a Volvo I would probably have a Mercedes of some sort.

Toyota's are very reliable or so they say.

I'm not ready for hbrid or electric anything. Once the world catches up maybe.

I wouldn't be ready for a full electric car yet but this one doesn't need to be plugged in, it charges off the engine so it's not that much different to an ordinary car really. I just love Japanese cars in general, most of my past cars were Japanese

Since I sold my last Black Cab I haven’t got my own ride and that suits me.
I very occasionally drive my wife’s 3 y.o. Peugeot 2008, but only if she holds a gun to my head.
After a lifetime earning my corn by holding a steering wheel, I get no kicks from driving anything now.
I've driven everything, from a Fiat 500 at home in London, to a LHD Mercedes 44 ton truck all over Europe, enough already.

A BMW 3 Series Convertible pretty much identical to this one. It’s a 2.5 so it’s quick when I need it to be and drives pretty nice too. It has pretty good optional extras considering it’s an older car.

I was driving a Peugeot 607 until the cam belt broke two weeks ago at 70 thousand was told it was done at 52

I’m back in a Corsa have three at the moment a Porsche 944 a Toyota hilux plus I drive a few other work vehicles.

I’m
Most happy in a little cheap car , plus I don’t think you can have a nice expensive car as a day to day runner

We're soccer moms at the moment so are rocking a Kuga of course, it was my wife's choice. It is however brand new, which is amazing, our last car was 16 years old (10 when we bought it :joker: ).

He was a VW Golf+ and actually an absolutely solid car - hence us not replacing until now. We've had the means to for years but kept looking at cars then deciding against it, because we liked that car so much. In the end though it developed wheel alignment and repeated wheelbearing issues and was costing more to fix than to replace.

Have to say on balance I much prefer the VW interior though, despite the Kuga being a bigger car (more room in the back for kids & dog, certainly) I find it slightly cramped in front, both driver and passenger.

If I had the choice I'd get another VW or a Volvo. Again though likely a beefy SUV. Because like I said - we're in the Soccer Mom phase :hehe:.

BONUS STORY

This is the first car I've had with AC. Because of this, I did not know how quickly AC drains the battery when the engine isn't running (spoiler: it is about 25 minutes). We left the AC on sitting in the car while my daughter was at football, and had to suffer the shame of an AA man laughing at us and asking "Heh heh so who left the fans on?" as he arrived before even asking what the problem was. :fist:

My car actually died during LD, so I've been borrowing one from my folks for a few months. I'm not really as bothered by cars as I used to be, but I'm looking at getting an old school beetle, or an old Mk2 golf convertible.

I love the old Beetles, not really a fan of the newer version oh you know what I'd love is one of those VW Camper Vans :flutter:

Those camper vans are lovely. The shape and everything about them is perfect. Would be great for touring the UK.

I have only ever owned a Clio since I began driving. I just swap it out every couple of years.
