For the first time in a while. I've Genuinely smiled.
At work I work in a morning I have a fairly long break in between before I start a separate shift there at 12. At uni we have a beautiful woodland area and a gorgeous lake. Today I thought I'd go and sit by the lake. It is peacefully quiet with noone around but butterflies and the like. I have decided to listen to chilled songs from the early 00s that I used to love. Paolo nutini, jack johnson etc. It really suited the moment. I decided not to think about all the rubbish stuff going on and really concentrate on my good stuff. I smiled. I think the past couple of years I've been forcing a smile. I felt incredibly happy. And I happily cried about how much I love my wife and kids
The lesson life can get really busy at times and it can affect who you are. Take time to be you and take time to smile. |
What a lovely post.
Yes, stay PRESENT. We live in a world where we feel like we have to go 100mph. Slow it down and take time out. Don't rush through your morning routine, sip your silky coffee and enjoy the aromas. Pause and reflect. Glad you had a moment out. |
