[Nina Farooqi, 37 (left), made an excuse to dodge work in Yorkshire after her friend offered her a last-minute ticket to the historic night at Wembley] [A TV camera zoomed in on her as she was celebrating England's equalising goal] [Composite Prime describes itself as 'innovators, designers and manufacturers of eco-friendly wood composite decking, cladding and flooring'.] https://i.dailymail.co.uk/1s/2021/07...5813179939.jpg [She was caught out when she appeared on the live broadcast during one of the goals] Stupid Women, deserved to be Sacked. https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/art...and-match.html |
…her boss had an opportunity to use it as a positive promotion for the company, some great PR/advertising linked to the national enthusiasm atm ….and he didn’t, he sacked her which I think will bring a negative for him and his company…how silly…

People are not interested in his company they are interested in the football |
it depends if there was any previous malarky really. I wouldn't have thought it warranted instant sacking in it's own right so it would seem a bit harsh

If only she had a face masks on |
good, hopefully she'll never find any other work either
|
…she’s a freelance Digital Content CoOrdinator…(…I’m not sure what that is…)…and a freelance sport photographer and she’s said that this ‘day job’ helped to fund her being able to do those things, which are more what’s she’s pursuing….so maybe she’ll get more freelance work in those lines because of the exposure etc…roads that lead, eh….

This happened to my Mum many years ago (not getting sacked). She told her Dad she was doing school work with her friend but was on the TV news screaming in the front row of a Beatles concert and her Dad saw it
It seems a harsh sacking - I think a lot of people have chucked a sickie in their life and its a chance you take that when you lie to your boss. I think very few employers would have dismissed for this (especially if they were football fans) but there could be other mitigating circumstances - she could be a serial sickie puller or have been on a final warning. |

Well if you are going to lie and go sick...at least keep a low profile.

I wouldnt have a liar working for me. Bye bitch.

Eh, everyone pulls a sickie from time to time. Shouldn't be a sacking offense.
Though tbh, having a ticket to an England semi-final would get most "lads" the day off, she should've been upfront and said why she wasn't going in. |
Isn't she entitled to sick days?

Of course as she did not, she lied to her boss. SACK her was 100% Right. |
I assume the party of the working class, the Labour Party is outraged by this and are speaking out for this woman? Or are they too busy getting on their knees for bully organisations?
|
a guy got compensation recently when he was sacked after being spotted in a pub whilst off sick
legally that is ok https://www.personneltoday.com/hr/ma...rly-dismissed/ |

[Charles Taylor, director at Composite Prime,
said the company were left with 'no choice' but to sack Farooqi. He also revealed that he would be giving company staff Monday morning off to recover after Sunday evening's final against Italy.] https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/art...and-match.html Great Boss |
