How tragic and bizarre, always seems strange when I hear about people dying especially drowning suddenly.

How did this happen??, was alcohol involved?. doesn't make sense.

R.I.P , only 29 years old aswell it's sad.

Ammi 09-07-2021 09:30 PM

…so terribly sad…it would have been his 30th birthday in a few days apparently and his own first child was born only a month ago…devastating for their families….

He was found on a beach so swimming in the ocean, could just be a riptide or undercurrent he wasn’t expecting and he’s run out of energy before managing to reach the shore. I personally think any sort of “wild swimming” alone is on the risky side, you should always have someone stay in near the shore or better yet not in the water at all who can raise the alarm if you get into trouble. Or better yet, only swim in the sea when there are lifeguards on the beach.

Even the best swimmers can get pulled away from the shore by a strong current.

Sebastian Eubank, the son of boxing star Chris Eubank, died from a massive heart attack whilst in the sea in Dubai, according to his widow.

Salma Abdelati said there was also evidence of a pre-existing heart condition that had not been previously known about.

She said: "Dubai Police and the coroner have confirmed that after a full post mortem Sebastian Eubank tragically died from a massive heart attack whilst in the sea and probably could not have been saved even if out of the water.

"There was evidence of a pre-existing heart condition we were all unaware of.

"While still very painful it is of some comfort that Sebastian died after having one of his favourite meals with one of his closest friends whilst doing his favourite thing at his favourite place in Dubai where he often went to swim.

"He was standing in the water close to shore watching the sunset at Cove Beach in Dubai.

"I am grateful that he was able to spend a few short and happy weeks with his son before his death.

"I would like to express my profound gratitude to the Dubai Coroner for conducting a swift and thorough investigation and to Dubai Police and in particular the Victim Support Department for their help and support at this difficult time."
