another one from Hatzigiannis (Cyprus's best) commented below this one myself, just my personal wish of his eurovision comeback next year |
I was just about to create this thread myself, so appreciate you doing it, Nicky.

well nevertheless enjoy Slim i am balkan music obsessed and i am proud of that, the main thing for me i connect real easy to many balkan songs without even knowing what they are about, it's all more to do with how much emotion, passion these artists give their all of also for example this one (Ksenija Knezevic, this was before she joined Hurricane) a very serbian, very funky sound Ksenija's father is this guy, he is called ''popstar of the balkan'' (in this performance at esc2015, the one with short hair is her in backing vocals) this is his most recent song |
I like the complex rhythms of say the No Smoking Orchestra and Taraf of Haiduks

a more recent hit from him this one is great too, even at older age connecting to younger fans  one of his classics or this klapa/acapella group |
|
some new balkan trash pop
and here a former queen of trashpop, now with a more midtempo ballad |
given Montenegro's return to ESC
this is one who i'd like to see represent them either him or Sako Polumenta, would be amazing acts to have from them, also in the same sort of high profileness as they had before with Knez and Sergey Cetkovic |
new song from Croatia's eurovision 2005 artist Boris Novkovic Moja Djevojka which means ''My Girl'' It’s an ode to his partner and how she’s always there to brighten up his day: “My girl is the most beautiful in the world / The only one on the entire planet / The sun is with her even when the rain reaches me / She always knows how to lift me”. It’s a cheery soft-rock song that Boris leads with a guitar in his hands. The Eurovision 2005 singer described the song on social media as follows: “It is my little obol and resistance to this gray time, spread the positive through small things and human gestures; it is the only way to make the world better tomorrow, what we plant now will sprout one day.” |
