Have you ever taken anyone else’s prescribed medication?

All in the title really

It can be under any circumstances; you ran out of your own medication, you were in serious pain and they had a tramadol or something in their bag, couldnt sleep so a friend offered you a Xanax?

Curious!

Niamh. 27-07-2021 01:41 PM

Yeah, I've taken pain killers from my father in law and Gav before that they got prescribed

ThomasC 27-07-2021 01:53 PM

This is a strange thing to be curious about.

Are you OK?

Crimson Dynamo 27-07-2021 01:56 PM

Just having a discussion about it with somebody and wanted to get a general consensus

Used to pop a couple of my mum’s 60mg dihydrocodeine tablets for hangovers when I was a teenager. Probably lucky I didn’t get hooked :umm2:. They worked a treat though. 2 litres of Irn Bru, big tube of red Pringles, 120mg of prescription opiates. Tadaaaa.

Disclaimer: I am NOT encouraging this, I was young and silly.

He’s been buying off-brand benzos from a scruffy bloke outside the train station, it’s very sad.

GoldHeart 27-07-2021 03:46 PM

No , and I wouldn't want to .

Obviously things like paracetamol is different, but I wouldn't want to take anything else.

Crimson Dynamo 27-07-2021 04:01 PM

I am using a pair of glasses I found in a box of dead persons stuff for watching the TV if that counts?

Kate! 27-07-2021 04:17 PM

Cocodamol pain relief

Cherie 27-07-2021 05:18 PM

No I literally won’t take a parecetomol unless my leg is hanging off, the doctor prescribed diazepam once for pain, only 3 days worth, it sat in a drawer I eventually posted it to my aunt as I think she is hooked on pain killers and the doc would give her no more scripts

bots 27-07-2021 05:27 PM

never

I thought as much.

Codeine and we used to take tamazipam after a night out...mis-spent youth

rusticgal 27-07-2021 06:34 PM

Naproxen…both my husband and I have been prescribed it.
But I would never take a tablet I have never been subscribed…

Beso 27-07-2021 06:34 PM

No.

But I've requested someone goes and robs a chemist for some ambient.

smudgie 27-07-2021 06:58 PM

Yes.
When I was daft enough to run out of stuff.
But never anything that I don’t usually take.

You should try phenergan you can get over the counter in the chemist my daughter takes one at night but you could try two

Most other sleeping tablets can be addictive and come with problems.

Josy 28-07-2021 10:35 PM

Yes but only because my prescription was late getting sent to the chemist and I had ran out of painkillers, my husbands are the exact same so I used them.

Alf 29-07-2021 06:14 AM

Used to always have a go on my mates asthma pump even though I don't have asthma.
