USA: Elton John attacks rapper DaBaby offensive comments about gay men

[DaBaby encouraged his fans at a Miami
festival to raise their phones in the air
But he excluded HIV-positive and gay men
who have had sex in a car park
In a tweet apologizing he
wrote: 'Anybody who done ever been
effected by AIDS/HIV y'all got the right to be upset'

Dua Lipa recently took to her Instagram
to speak out against DaBaby's
homophobic comments
However the rapper T.I. defended the comments
in a recent Instagram Live
Elton John - who married partner
David Furnish in 2014 - said he was shocked
at the 'HIV misinformation and homophobia']

He is a Black Rapper aged 29
hardly worthy of a fight.

…Elton didn’t really attack anyone, he was stunned at the HIV misinformation that was given out to DaBaby’s fans so he gave him some facts….

Ammi
To a Rick Black Rapper
it is an Attack,

Ammi 28-07-2021 07:12 PM

…not really Arista, there is nothing in Elton’s informing words that are an attack……many people have also commented on what he said and DaBaby has given an apology…he’s apparently now ‘been cancelled’ by BoohooMan….

[DaBaby dropped by BooHoo
as Elton John hits out at rappers'
'HIV misinformation' at Miami gig
Elton John also shared a number of facts about HIV,
chiefly that there is treatment and medication
available that allows those people
are HIV-positive to live long, healthy lives.]

It's a drop in the ocean with the hip hop community. Someone pointed out that Dua Lipa's message in response to him was rather hypocritical considering the exact same week, she released a posthumous song with a rapper who had some choice lyrics.

Not to kick a man whilst he's down (or, erm, dead) but it just seems like cancelling DaBaby when pretty much 80% of the industry is a walking, knuckle-dragging, who's who of ****ty intellect, toxic masculinity and bigotry seems ineffective.

Finally someone said it.

I thought that it was just me that can't take his name seriously.

I thought that Rappers like to go for "hard" names? DaBaby.:laugh3:

Going to the topic at hand, I'd give him a warning that he ever spreads any misinformation on this scale again then he gets cancelled or fired from his commitments. Sadly we do seem to be in an age where you can't make one mistake without someone's career being destroyed.

A very stupid mistake on his part in fairness though.

Not only does he look fecking ridiculous, he is ridiculous.

Prick.
