[A lawsuit has been filed in the US
accusing Prince Andrew of sexually
abusing Virginia Giuffre,
according to one of her lawyers.
Ms Giuffre claims she was a victim of
late financier and convicted
paedophile Jeffrey Epstein.

She has previously said she was
made to have sex when she was 17
with Prince Andrew,
who has always categorically denied
any sexual contact or relationship with her.

Ms Giuffre's lawyer, David Boies,
confirmed to Sky News that a lawsuit had been filed
on Monday afternoon in a federal court in Manhattan.

It alleges the prince abused Ms Giuffre
on several occasions when she was under 18.]

…well then…it’s good that someone is going up against a prominent member of the royal family with such serious allegations….it’s sadly not a criminal case, though….?…it’s a personal lawsuit and still wouldn’t bring any justice/legal answerability as such….

it will end up settled out of court with a gag order applied, so it wont achieve anything other than her getting a bit of cash and his chances of conviction lessened

…that would be doubtful to ever happen, Nicky….in terms of a U.K. criminal system a possibility of ‘Her Majesty’s Prison’ would be something he would never face because his mother is Her Majesty…the legal teams behind the Royals would ensure that would never be a real possibility, I would think….he may be ‘above some laws’ because of who he is, but he isn’t above US law…but even then that’s quite limited because this is a personal lawsuit, not a criminal one…

I mean it's sexual assault so if he's guilty as sin there's a 95% chance he still has nothing to fear.

I'd say it's highly likely they'll settle and of course the money really means nothing to the Royals... I suppose on the other hand though, in the eyes of many, settling out of court is often seen as an admission of guilt.
