The way my house is laid out, I can't always hear knocks at the door from the lounge, so it's really annoying when postmen or couriers only knock, and then I get a "sorry we missed you" slip through the door when I was home ... The doorbell is right there, use it!!

And my house isn't even that big, I don't live in a manshun :joker: but it's an old build, the lounge isn't really that far from the front door "as the crow flies" but it has strange acoustics the way some old houses do.

It is annoying...but do you think it may have something to do with picking up germs from the doorbell :shrug:

Duh, that makes sense, especially in these times :joker:

Stick a bottle of hand sanitizer to the wall next to it along with a sign saying "Please use the Doorbell" :laugh:

surely of your job is delivering to houses you could come up with something to press a doorbell with rather than a finger

Not a terrible idea tbh! I know it could be argued they should "do their jobs" and make sure their customers are in, but it's my problem that I can't hear the door, not theirs!

get a door bell with a movement alarm on it, then they don't need to touch anything with anything

Put up a sign knocking will get you knocked out
Use the bell to stay safe and well

But if they're scared of germs,do they not think knocking a door will get germs aswell? Lol.

In everyday life we all have to press lift buttons,ring doorbells , touch items etc. We might not want to especially now in COVID times but just bring a hand sanitizer around with you :shrug: .

Eh. If I'm using a public touchscreen, like the things in McDonald's, I use my Knuckles rather than fingertips.

Well, not much point in using the sanitiser before you press the doorbell :nono:
