weren't they top early on last season too, and then what happened :smug:

joeysteele 29-08-2021 04:45 PM

Impressive.
They have a truly great player however in Son.
He's incredible, in my opinion.

michael21 29-08-2021 05:21 PM

For the first time in the club’s football league history, Spurs have won each of their opening three league games of a season without conceding a single goal.

Arsenal’s 17 year record unbeaten run away from home beaten by United today, you’re welcome

Tottenham have definitely got off to a solid start, even beating Man City without having Kane.

This is my opinion of the big eight at the start of the season.

Tottenham - A phenomenal start beating Man City, and tbh I honestly don't think that Wolves & Watford are gonna be a walk in the park either, overall it's a promising start for Tottenham imo.

Arsenal - Obviously it's been the total opposite for Arsenal, but their bad start can be excused by the fact that two out of three of the teams that they've faced were last season's Champions League finalists. I don't know what to say about the Brentford result though if I'm being honest.

Man City - It appears to be looking good yet again for Man City this season besides the result against Spurs. However I'd say that the two wins that they've received so far have been against a struggling Arsenal side & Norwich, the only decent side that they've faced so far they lost to them. Also on a side note I really think that the Transfer Window was a disaster for them, overspending on Grealish even though according to Sky Sports they don't normally overspend on players, but this is a classic example of overspending on a player. And obviously they failed to get either Kane or Ronaldo when they wanted them.

Man Utd - Again it's been hard to judge Man Utd's quality this season because all of the sides that they've faced haven't won a single game yet, but the fact that they won today when not playing at their best is usually a sign of the champions in the League. Plus I think that Leeds & Wolves are gonna pick up sooner rather than later so I think that Man Utd have got off to a good start to the season personally.

Liverpool - Again a good start (especially the draw with Chelsea) but there are people definitely questioning the sending off in yesterday's match which led to the equaliser (including myself) and their two wins were against Burnley & Norwich.

Leicester - Tbh I'm not really sure about Leicester this season as they've tended to struggle in every game so far this season, in particular struggling to beat Norwich this weekend should be a concern for Leicester fans imo.

West Ham - Obviously it's a very good start for West Ham, but they need to be able to beat teams like Crystal Palace if they're to break into the top 4 this season.

Chelsea - To me personally Chelsea look like the strongest team, yes Palace & Arsenal were not the toughest teams to face, but Arsenal are a bogey team for Chelsea I tend to find, and let's be honest they were gonna beat Liverpool yesterday without the sending off, so to me I think it's Chelsea's season to lose.

Obviously I will quote this if I'm right at the end of the season about Chelsea.:joker:

I'm probably way off base, but I personally wouldn't mind seeing Chelsea win the League.

I could be going to Spurs new ground next year.

The rugby league challenge cup final will be held at that ground next year and if my team make it to the final then I'll be there.

Not outstanding but not rubbish either.

In the challenge cup this season we lost in the semi final to St Helens. In Super league we're currently 7th in the table with 3 games to go, the top 6 make the play offs for the grand final. We have a big must win game tomorrow night against the Leeds Rhinos at the Super league magic weekend at St James Park, Newcastle.

All 6 Super league fixtures will be on Sky sports this weekend, 3 on the Saturday and 3 on the Sunday, all at St James Park in the Super magic weekend. A festival of rugby league.

With no Premier league football this weekend, it's a good time to tune in to the Super league.
