Are you a big festival goer or can you imagine nothing worse?

I was at one down in Devon for four nights last weekend. I'm not big into festivals but I'd been to this one once before which is a nice smallish size and there's a good group who go there every year from my home village. I was always a bit reluctant to go but actually I think its a great experience being in a bit of a bubble divorced from reality where nothing really matters and seeing tons of great music.

Everyone was in such a positive mood as well after 2 years off and even for a lot of the bands it was the first time they'd played to a live audience in eighteen months which made them up their performance a bit more

I don't know if I'd be keen for Glastonbury though because of the sheer size of the place, some of the treks between stages and back and forth to the camp site seem like a nightmare

Nah, I don't mind camping and that but I couldn't be dealing with all the puke and **** and people. I can just about handle a concert. I don't like crowds

The one thing the festival did **** up as well was the toilets - most of them didn't flush properly and weren't cleaned enough so there were often situations where only about one loo out of five or six were actually usable as the rest were full to the brim :worry:

Never saw so many traumatised faces as people gingerly pulled open the doors to check what condition each one was in

There was fi fest on Sunday in a field 300 yards from house it was family oriented because they had kids entertainment rides bouncy castle and all that

But it stopped at 1030 pm I didn’t go but they had a couple of bands that could sing, one being the south a beautiful south tribute act, the lightning seeds closed the show

Ugh gross, yeah that kind of stuff would turn me off. Like I said it's not the camping itself, I quite like camping but you need somewhat decent facilities

As many as 90,000 people flocked to the festival over the bank holiday
weekend with performances from Stormzy and AJ Tracey, Liam Gallagher and
rock band Biffy Clyro.

As the dust settled on its first event since 2019, drone footage at 5pm today
showed the scale of the waste they left behind.

At least six fields were each littered with hundreds of abandoned tents, vast
numbers of beer cans, bottles and unwanted clothes.

Similar pictures were captured at Reading’s slightly smaller sister festival in
Leeds.

Every abandoned tent contains the equivalent of 9,000 plastic straws and
requires 25kg of carbon dioxide to make – the same amount of pollution as a
car driving 100 miles.

The mess left behind is in sharp contrast to research suggesting people from
Generation Z (born from 1997 to 2012) care deeply about the environment
and sustainability.

A girl died at reading festival but she had a pre existing condition

Used to go when I was a teenager like most teenagers do I believe but I couldn't deal with all of the gross stuff now. But the feeling and atmosphere was fun. I have great memories.

Totally disgusting ! leaving a mess like that for someone else to clear up, it'll cost a fortune to clear and dispose of. Thoughtless and selfish .

I like them. I really want to go to Download one year, and I went to Slam Dunk in 2019.
