Is Ginger Rodgers an acceptable name to be giving people these days?
TIBB decides.

As a ginger....I find gingerism highly offensive  I know of no other hair colouring where people find it totally acceptable to discuss the colour of someone's pubic hair (eg ginger bollocks etc). Its inappropriate, gross and just rude.

ginger is a fizzy drink in Scotland, is that wrong too?

One of the girls I went to school with was ginger. She was really pretty, lovely blue eyes... but some girls led her a dog's life and she was bullied by one girl in particular. I saw that girl years later when I worked at Newham College and guess what? She had a ginger daughter. Love the Karma bus.

i only noticed that ginger was seen as a negative when i moved to England. Being a red head in scotland isnt really seen as anything bad

I got name called regularly.....I was ginger nut, duracell, copper top, rusty etc etc. I never got away with anything either as I was too recognisable
It never actually bothered me that much (thick skin) but the first question I asked when my son was born was "is he ginger?" as I knew the **** he was going to have to go through. He was ginger...luckily he has always loved his bright orange hair  |
My sister was auburn, but we still called her a G-Head when we wanted to tease her. Then I'd make a run for it because she's 5 years older than me.

Only a ginger can call another ginger, ginger.
