Outrage : Plans for the Royal Funeral Leaked

https://ichef.bbci.co.uk/news/976/cp..._mirror-nc.png

[BBC Text
Daily Mirror asks "How could they?", as it criticises
the fact that plans for the Queen's funeral
have been leaked.
The sharing of details surrounding
Operation London Bridge has been
branded "deeply disturbing" by royal sources,
according to the Mirror.
Buckingham Palace has not commented
on the leak, the paper adds.]

Grossly distasteful. Somebodys head is going to roll.

Dickie Arbiter shouldn’t be taken seriously in the slightest after being caught lying on camera for money :)

Not at all surprising, Princess Meghan warned us about the nasty pieces of work behind the scenes in the palace.

I can already sense the feelings everyone has about a 90 odd year old woman's feelings..

Shame on everyone involved

AnnieK 04-09-2021 06:37 AM

I'm sure this has been leaked before....I've read about the London Bridge code years ago.

Crimson Dynamo 04-09-2021 07:21 AM

of course all the newspapers printed it all out so we can all be outraged

Alf 04-09-2021 07:25 AM

In more interesting news, I've just bought 4 egg custards for a quid, in Asda

Alf 04-09-2021 07:27 AM

It was 2 for 80p or 4 for a quid. And I thought, it's Saturday, why not splash out and enjoy myself and go for the 4.

Somethings off about this, looks like a PR thing to get the public onside with Liz ...

Yeah, that is well known by now, but that headline is saying about a 10 day 'official programme of events'.

Daily Express:
"The details for Her Majesty's funeral are known as Operation London Bridge.
The Daily Express has chosen not to publish intimate details of the arrangements out of respect for the Queen and her family."

Plot twist: it was actually a script from the next season of The Crown.

Was anyone not onside with her?

I thought it had all been detailed on the past for both her and Prince Philip. Could be wrong but might have a look. I agree with Cherie though....it just seems a little "iffy" :hmm:

You are right Annie, however it does say "if the last death of a monarch is anything to go by" - and "much we will never know" but it all seems pretty likely.

I suppose as the Queens father was so young when he died these plans will have been in place for most of her reign and just updated as times move on with details on how to announce it on Royal social channels. Seems macabre but many people make plans I suppose. Just seems a little off with the Queen being so old now and having just lost Philip, it will make people think its imminent

"intimate plans decades in the making" ... what absolute drivel. How long does it take to plan ....

1. Put in wooden box
2. Stick in ground

I mean it is imminent, relatively speaking… she’s 95.

Although I honestly wouldn’t be all that surprised if she reaches 110 and outlives Charles :joker:.

Harry and Meghan denigrating the institution she is the head of and has devoted her whole life to, even as her husband lay dying, can’t be doing her health any good. She deserves her final years to be peaceful ones.
God save the Queen.

Wondered how long it would be before they were brought into this

I'm sure the fact that her favourite son is under suspicion of sexual abuse is not doing her much good either....but you don't mention that as detrimental to her health and well being

Livia 04-09-2021 11:49 AM

Leaving aside Harry and Meghan and leaving aside Prince Andrew, because none of that nonsense is anything to do with this... It doesn't sound like any kind of PR stunt to me. They need to find out who leaked it and charge them. Or throw them in the Tower, I'm easy....

Of course that will be causing her stress as well, but my point is that H&M are deliberately vilifying the institituon she has devoted her life to, when they should have dealt with those matters privately.
Andrew didn't do what he did, if he did it, deliberately, to hurt his mother and the institution, he's just a moron.

I can’t even see how it’s it any personal benefit to anyone for it to be leaked, which suggests to me that someone simply sold it for the cold hard cash cryptocurrency.
