AUKUS (Australia, UK & US military pact)
What do we make of it? Alf you will have thoughts on this I'm sure. I've not looked into it much but got to admit ... ... ... ... :suspect: ... ... chess pieces for WW3 innit.
[edit] Obviously plenty in the news about this, but if you want a brief understanding of what AUKUS is I'm just going to link the Wiki, as it's politically neutral unlike any press articles. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/AUKUS |
What?
|
Oh, a globalist military alliance. Anything globalist can't be good for a country.
|
I'm not a fan of globalism or sweeping militaristic moves, so yeah ...

Tis the new world order.

I don't trust Biden or the Australian Premier (look what he's doing to his own people right now) with our secrets.
Many think that Biden is China's bitch, and the Australians are acting like China's bitch. |

My suspicion really is that UK always has the US's back in these type of things so you can consider them one unit here really... there are already very close military ties... but I feel like they've basically adopted Aus into it because if they can be in Aus waters, that's a huge strategic advantage in the Pacific. US is giving (selling? I read it's prettyy much a gift...) Aus some nuclear-powered submarines too. Not nuclear armed. Supposedly. But that would only need a warheads change, they're 100% nuclear-weapon-capable subs. |

Why is he currently making news? |

France is/will be part of the euro zone defence so isn't much interested in the waters around Australia. The only reason they are angry is that Australia were buying a wad of subs from france and that contract has now been scrapped  I think something has to be done to keep China in line. We have NATO covering any immediate threat from russia, we need similar for China |

It makes a certain amount of sense. Japan would be on our side now because they have no other alternative |

Yes Millions gone because of Biden/Johnson/Morrison Mega Deals. SkyNewsHD at an Arms Fair showed a model of a Great New Fighter Ship we are building for Australia. Bog Off France |
Biden forgetting Scott Morrisons name and calling him 'that fella down under' was quite amusing
