USA: Gabby Petito found dead

https://pbs.twimg.com/media/E_ziQ5eU...jpg&name=small

Stone memorial arranged in a cross pays tribute
to van-life woman Gabby Petito at
Wyoming's Spread Creek campsite where her
remains were discovered:
Cops hunt 'person of interest' boyfriend Brian
and search her hard drive for clues

The makeshift memorial was spotted Monday
evening just east of Grand Teton
National Park in Wyoming
Police markers were also spotted in the area,
where authorities found a body that
could be Petito's Sunday
An autopsy is set for Tuesday to confirm
if the body is hers and to determine the cause of death
Petito's hard drive is now the subject
of intense scrutiny from police after her body was found
The 22-year-old set out on a road trip
earlier in the summer, and was last seen
alive in Utah on August 24
Boyfriend, Brian Laundrie, 23,
returned to Florida on September 1 and was
at his parents house in North Port
Petito's computer was in her white
Ford Transit van that was taken away
by police on September 11
Laundrie's parents have reported
him missing, saying they have not seen him
since September 14

Not a Happy Couple

Police video showed her fighting.

[Laundrie is seen with scratches on his face which
he tells an officer were caused when
Petito 'was trying to get the keys from me'
and 'hit me with her phone']

We've been following this, boyfriend quite clearly did it and has either gone on the run, or possibly gone off somewhere remote and killed himself, as he appears to have completely vanished off the face of the earth. People trying to make out it was just this recent fight shown in police bodycam footage but friends and family of hers have said he was controlling.

I honestly feel like the police mishandled this situation on the stop, and there was a chance to prevent this, but that's with the benefit of hindsight and also in these situations, it's likely she would have defended him/made excuses and left with him anyway so perhaps no way to change the outcome as there's nothing you can really do then. But I do think they weren't as concerned about her wellbeing as they could have been.

Later today they tell us how she died
that will answer many questions.

She was not a stable teen.
Loads of Happy Photos
then the Police stop, gave us the truth.
On Video

She was 22, and being abused by a man who then killed her. Not here for the reframing arista.

His van was caught on video in the area they later found her body (it is how they found her body) and was then eventually located at his parents house, where he had been since her disappearance, but had now "gone missing".

The narrative that he was somehow her victim is questionable at best, I've seen people trying to use it as an excuse, "well if she was hitting him it's understandable he eventually snapped" etc. Utterly gross.

I was reading about the missing case of Gabby Petito.

It just keeps getting more mind-blowing as time goes on.
Apparently the boyfriend killed her and buried her.
Then went back home like nothing happened D:

LaLaLand 21-09-2021 04:01 PM

I thought her fella was also missing?

Cherie 21-09-2021 04:02 PM

He went home first and is now missing I think

He is now, there seems to be a misunderstanding some places online (and actually in some press) that they went missing at the same time. He came back to his parents house alone, wouldn't answer any questions about where she was, by the time her body was found he was mysteriously "missing".

Honestly though I think there's a chance he's thrown himself off a cliff somewhere.

Lets hope they find him

Watching this clip the cops thought she was the aggressor.
Unbelievable!

I think they pulled them over because she hit him and then he hit the kerb or something, so she was the aggressor in that incident but she was clearly distressed and they (IMO) could have done a lot more to figure out what was actually going on between them. From what friends and family have said he had been controlling and abusive for quite a while. He seems unusually calm about the situation and she seems very anxious and upset. In the full video the police are quite hard on her.

That said, in the vast majority of these situations and most likely in this one, she would have made excuses and defended him/gone with him anyway. Just a very sad situation.

She just looked very distressed in that clip.
But she's probably been a victim of domestic violence for a while. Such a sad situation
