What do we think of the 8 articles in the tweet above?

i consider the daily express to be a comic. It's been a terrible newspaper for decades. They are an extreme example of what the majority of media is like these days

Seriously, they cannot be considered a reliable news source

Most papers were running the exact same narrative on the run up to Brexit.

I think more fool people who didn’t pay attention to what was the biggest vote in history and didn’t vote

The cost of living goes up every single year including every one of those wonderful years we were trapped under the fat lazy man called Europe

Governments in every country are compulsive liars, life is not fair and never will be

It goes to show that the British media essentially works as right wing propaganda, as someone who can admit to being convinced to vote leave because of all the false promises and the outright lies, I’m glad that more and more people are opening their eyes and realising that we were thoroughly duped.

GoldHeart 29-09-2021 11:13 AM

The problem aswell was people didn't know what they were voting for , but the numerous lies didn't help either.

I always knew leaving would be a terrible decision, certain weasels like farage would repeat the same garbage about immigration & Brexit, that's literally all he rambled on about.

And Cameron caused this mess in the first place with the stupid referendum . What's painful is how close the vote was . But as usual quite a few people didn't vote ,either because they didn't want to or they didn't understand it fully.

Very refreshing to see someone admit that they were wrong and not stuck there head in the sand and fingers in their ears pretending everything is ok!

I regretted my vote literally as soon as they turned around and said the 350million a week for the NHS wouldn’t be happening after all, the day after the results were announced.

I’m normally a very strict follower of the ‘never trust a Tory’ mantra, but I let my guard down once because the NHS is the top my of my list whenever it comes to voting, but I certainly won’t be doing that again, they lied, cheated and manipulated us all to help themselves and their friends stay rich and get richer, it’s the worst decision we’ve ever made as a country and that’s saying something, as we sent Michael Rice to Eurovision.

i don't think that's entirely fair. Corbyn wanted brexit and Cameron wanted to remain, so it was very much a mixed bag

LeatherTrumpet 29-09-2021 12:18 PM

im astonished people are still upset about not winning

wow

That’s nothing to do with the media which is what he was talking about though

It's why they all line up to rim Boris' arsehole no matter how much his actions **** on them, it's pathetic.

Get your mask on, do as daddy Boris says.

some people are wearing masks , and some are not .
Nobody can force anyone to wear one, but you have to still wear one in some
indoor places. I always wear a mask when i go out.

People can laugh and make fun all they want ,but there's a reason we wear masks.

You don't think that it's more fool the voters for voting for something without fully understanding what they're voting for?

I mean fair enough to the people that did understand what Brexit would entail and still voted for it anyway (although I strongly disagree) at least you did your research, where as there are some idiots moaning about things like roaming charges and Food shortages etc, but these idiots voted for Brexit which has caused these very things, like read up on what you're voting for before voting for that particular option in any Referendum or Election.

This is a very good post, and a very good point about Eurovision.

Anyone who didn’t vote can’t complain imo

At least if you voted one way or the other you had a voice

Remain were winning until roughly the last 2 weeks then for me anyway I could sense a shift and we are where we are now...so not much anyone can do about it

I voted remain btw

I get what you're saying, but to me the Brexiters that voted without understanding what they were voting on (I know it was only some of the Brexiters that voted like this) and then complain about negative things happening to the country because of Brexit (but bizarrely they don't put it down to Brexit) are what I look down on more than people not voting either way, because let's face it they haven't caused the mess that we're in now.
