Discrimination against professional sportspeople!
So we've just been setting up some temporary car insurance to borrow a car, and before you go to the checkout, it of course pops up some terms you have to agree to... ... ... can anyone explain this one? :joker:
Not that me or my wife are professional sportspeople - it's just that all the other terms obviously make sense, but I can't figure out WHY the poor sportspeople are being slandered like this. Seems random and harsh. Like "Obviously a pro sportsperson will crash". People in the entertainment industry getting some flak too. https://i.imgur.com/UuZvmXn.png |
Is it to do with carrying equipment around? I don't know :laugh2:
|
i could understand it if it were motorsports, and that used to be an excluded category. There may also be some sub category of entertainment thats dodgy, but not the full category

All the sporty types at my school were as thick as a brick. Maybe they can't be trusted to remember three things, like... mirror, signal, manoeuvre?

Hold up so what happens if you are employed as a parcel delivery person? you need to pay more :idc:

I used to work in car insurance so the legit answer is because if a professional sports person is injured in a car accident and can't play the sport, that could result in a huge loss of earnings that may have to be paid out. If a high end footballer's leg is broken in a car accident then that's a huge risk an insurer doesn't want to take on.
Also there is a risk of vandalism by the opposing team's fans. |

That does make sense, TiBB is a source of such a variety of knowledge :flutter:

More concerned that you must not be unemployed:fist:
