Yeah enjoying it so far

I was a bit worried in the first episode - it didn’t feel like Dexter and I couldn’t figure out what was wrong. Then at the end he stopped being “Jim” and became “Dexter Morgan” and his inner monologue returned and I realised that’s what had been missing throughout the episode, and that it was actually really effective. Episode 2 with his thoughts back on display felt much more like Dexter.

Still think “I have a Dark Passenger” sounds like a euphemism for needing to poop, though.

Ah yes very good observation. The minute he started his monologue though I instantly heard Joe from You (ew) Dexter even said "you" in a Joe way too. They so copied Dexter there except Dexter would actually target Joe the creepy stalking murderer

Thoughts on the Season/Finale :

Spoiler:

Over all I thought the Season was great, it was much more like the original seasons, the good seasons. Over all I think it's the proper way to end it and is how I thought the original Series should have ended, Deb should have killed him instead of Harrison and survived to raise Harrison as a normal kid, instead of Dexter leaving Harrison with Hannah who was a murderer herself....bizarre choice.

So yeah the Finale was sad, it felt more like an end of an era than the original ending which is pretty good going really after all these years, it felt like the ending that Dexter deserved as much as I liked him, especially after he killed Logan to escape, that's not part of the code, harry would not have approved and I'm glad Harrison didn't either.

I hear there's talk of another Season focusing on Harrison and I really really hope that they don't do that and make the same mistake again that they made with the "1st" ending. Don't make another Dexter without Dexter ffs and don't spoil the character development of Harrison by having him turn into a serial killer anyway after killing his dad. Please don't. You did good, quit while you're ahead!

Surely he’d have to have the good hearted serial killer traits to take all the loyal fans along ..

Spoiler:

I don't care, he killed his dad, he knew what he was doing wasn't right and he didn't want to be like him. Turning him into a serial killer after all that anyway would be a step backwards for him and would make Dexter's Death pointless. I don't know about any other fans obviously but I'm not interested in a Series of Dexter without Dexter. And they can't make Harrison a "good" serial killer, there's not really such a thing which is the point that I think the show was trying to make all these years (as much as we loved Dexter) so basically what would happen would be a replay of the original, Harrison well stick rigidly to "the code" for a few years but eventually he'll end up having to make the same choices his dad did to get away with it, kill someone who doesn't deserve it or get caught.
