I think he's dead and his parents know this.

That's terrible.

it's really not terrible given that he murdered his girlfriend

van trip when she vanished in August
and he returned to Florida
Her strangled body was found weeks
later in Wyoming and Laundrie went on the run
His parents have been admonished for refusing
to speak publicly or to Gabby's family
throughout the ordeal
They went out with the authorities on

If it is his body then it's a double tragedy. Two people dead...FOR WHAT??

I am guessing he got angry and killed her in a fit of temper. He unquestionably regretted it. She was, after all, his fiancee. He lived with her, he travelled with and he slept with her. That's a hard thing to forget unless you're crazy, which I don't think he (was) is.

Evidently swallowed with guilt and loss, and the prospect of spending the rest of his life in solitary confinement in jail, or even receiving the death penalty, he killed himself.

Of course he could have been partially eaten by an alligator. It's ALL speculation, whether he did the murder or not.

It been confirmed it was his body

Now time to arrest the parents
