Roy Keane is odds on to appear on this year's I'm a Celeb

Seriously can not see him doing this but he would be brilliant

Mayfield's own Roy Keane is being heavily tipped to go on I'm a Celebrity this year.

The midfield hardman, who probably wouldn't flinch at anything in a jungle, has gone from 12/1 all the way to 1/4 on to take on some bush tucker trials.

The drop in price came after former Arsenal man Ian Wright publicly begged ITV to sign the former Man U captain up.

Wright himself previously starred in the show and was a huge hit with viewers.

Along with Roy a number of other well-known Irish figures are being tipped to go in.

Those include Greg O'Shea, Maura Higgens, and Una Healy.

A Paddy Power spokesman said: “Roy’s scathing analysis of United performances are always trend-worthy. You know you’ve got star quality when you can set the Twittersphere alight just for random some absenteeism.

"So it’s no surprise that fans and ITV bosses alike might be excited by the prospect of seeing pull a ‘hairdryer’ on some unsuspecting celebs and who wouldn’t relish the thought of him swapping slide tackles for swallowing pig’s tackle!

“TV bosses often find that Irish personalities are the secret ingredient on shows like these, but let’s face it, at the end of the day, Roy Keane would be different gravy altogether."

Current I'm a Celeb contestant odds:

1/4 Roy Keane

2/1 Louise Redknapp
2/1 Olivia Attwood
2/1 Simon Gregson
2/1 Liberty Poole

That is lie. I remember him mostly being a whingebag and the gp not taking to him at all. He started off fav to win the thing and it quickly became apparent that his odds were ridiculous. I remember this coz I replied on the bf forum re his chances just before the season began..

Nicky91 03-11-2021 07:03 AM

or Richard Madeley interviewing Roy Keane :hehe:

It's always football players. I'd like to see someone from the World of rugby league in there to give the game a bit of promotion.

quite some rugby stars have done DOI, Strictly

like Thom Evans, Gareth Thomas, Ben Cohen, and this year Ugo Monye (whom also promotes the rugby sport now as a ''question of sport'' team captain)

That's a different code of Rugby to what I'm suggesting, but I get your point.
