No
that Owner of that dog
is Guilty of leaving it with a mate.

Cherie 09-11-2021 02:46 PM

Can’t imagine the trauma for both families

The Owner Is Guilty.

AnnieK 09-11-2021 03:32 PM

The dog had bitten someone previously. Should have been muzzled and never around children.

Poor families - something they will never get over.

Not a poor dog.

It’s a dog. One that received zero training by the dogs owners.

It was a poor dog arista, one that was probably used and as others have said never trained and probably never really loved ,but we don't know he full circumstances do we and what led up to it ,so imo, its a poor dog , it should never have happened and if as Annie said it had bitten before it should never have been in that enviroment, as I said sad all round.

arista 09-11-2021 04:08 PM

No one is disputing it’s the owner that’s guilty

parmnion 09-11-2021 04:19 PM

Just to hard to think about for me.

Elliot 09-11-2021 05:01 PM

Why would you get a dog like that and then not take the precautions to prevent something liek this? The owners are irresponsible ****ers. Should serve jail time tbh. They put their kids and a poor animal at risk

LaLaLand 09-11-2021 05:51 PM

I have what I suppose could be deemed as one of this type of dog, she’s a big Bulldog x another type of Bulldog with Staffy and Boxer somewhere in her down the line and all sorts we suspect. A very imposing, strong, muscular, athletic, large dog.

She’s the sweetest and most gentle, loving dog we’ve ever had. She’s 11 next week and has never once growled or shown aggressive behaviour or tendencies, not to humans, other dogs, cats or other. Fantastic with kids especially, she adores my little niece and her friends when they come to play too.

Maybe we’re just lucky but I hate seeing dogs LIKE HER getting a bad rep because of irresponsible owners.

That poor child. RIP. Absolutely heartbreaking.

parmnion 09-11-2021 06:02 PM

This is why we are not allowed tigers or lions.

Its like saying a race of people are dangerous or pro boxers or black belts are dangerous. Mistreat a child, show it no love and it could grow up to be a serial killer or a rapist - some dont some do.

Its not the dog its how its treated

However, because large and powerful dogs are attractive to poorly educated, poorly brought up feral humans (not you) they should be prevented from owning such dogs (or indeed any dog). Owning a dog or any animal should be much harder to do than it is currently.

Completely agree with you.

I really wish they’d bring in a licensing system for owning dogs. How feasible that’d be I don’t know but at least then you’d have to register what animals are at your address and their breeds etc. Might help curb the problem just a little bit.

Also completely 100% ban the sale of dogs of any age online.

Horrible situation , and I agree.

A dog like that should not be around children or even other people in general if it's that violent.

It's cost them big time .
