Yes the Lucky ones have moved
9 miles away onto higher, safer ground.

So to clarify from the articles, this story is about the effect of global warming melting permafrost that lies under many of these sorts of areas (essentially turning the area from solid ground into soft ground that can’t support buildings).

It’s not about rising sea levels, as the poster’s confusing title implies.
