Letting him get to Melbourne and then cancelling the visa is a total farce as well

that's standard practice in australia, there is a tv series about the border force and they are very strict and cancelled peoples visas regularly on arrival, and that was before the pandemic

It's their country, they can do what they want

No we don't. We know it significantly reduces the likelihood of catching and spreading Covid.

Quote:

then what is the issue here with his case?
He isn't vaccinated, which significantly increases the likelihood of him catching and spreading Covid, and is refusing to provide valid exemption documents.

Quote:

He's equally as likely to catch or spread as a vaccinated tennis player.
No he isn't. He's more likely to catch & spread it.

Make it make sense because right now it doesn't.
It makes sense because being vaccinated significantly reduces the likelihood of catching and spreading Covid.

But you don't want anyone to "make it make sense" because you've asked the same question, and been given the same answer, multiple times before, and have ignored it each time.

I used to like watching those shows. I liked the Canadian one best though.

I personally agree with you that Djokovic should be allowed to play if he wants to.

However for that to happen, Australia would have to go more lenient on it's own civilians for being unvaccinated going forward, which it's clear that the Australian Government doesn't want to relinquish it's power that it's currently got over it's people.

Nadal weighs in

https://i.dailymail.co.uk/1s/2022/01...1454293859.jpg

'The world has been suffering enough. Get vaccinated. If he wanted, he would
playing here in Australia without problems,' the world number six said.

'I went through COVID. I have been vaccinated twice. If you do this, you don't
have any problem to play here. That's the only clear thing.

'The rest of the things, I don't want to have or to give to you an opinion that I
don't have the whole information.

'The only for me clear thing is if you are vaccinated, you can play in the
Australian Open and everywhere, and the world in my opinion has been
suffering enough to not follow the rules.'

mobilising the lawyers just reinforces the view that he is a self entitled arse hole. Ultimately, australia has the sovereign right to refuse anyone entry to their country on whatever grounds they feel like

always been a fan though, of all his impersonations of other players on court too

btw he claims he has natural antibodies against covid, from having recovered (which is the truth, you grow natural antibodies when you recover)

but fake australia aren't like other countries

keep alternating between Novak’s balls so he don’t get a bald patch on one

smudgie 06-01-2022 10:44 AM

Why should he be above the law of the country
He has/had the choice and decided against it.
He may be a fantastic tennis player but that doesn’t put him above the law of the land.

This is a fair point.

I personally can't stand Australia's extreme stance, but it is their country and Djokovic has no right to try and dictate to them to let him in the country unvaccinated if they don't feel comfortable with him being there because of that.

Tbh he shouldn't have turned up to that loopy hell hole if he weren't planning on getting Vaccinated.

No offence to any Australians btw, I'm referring to the Government making loopy laws rather than an attack on the regular people.
