Ladbaby to represent the UK at Eurovision 2022

Insider info reveals the duo, whose meaty ‘sausage roll’ charity singles have topped the UK charts for the past four christmases, are in talks with the BBC to represent the UK at Eurovision 2022 in Italy

LADBABY

The Nottinghamshire group who are best known for their songs about sausage rolls to raise money at Christmastime for food banks have apparently ‘been in talks’ with the BBC about venturing into Italy to perform another sausage roll themed song.

https://i.dailymail.co.uk/i/newpix/2...9082577980.jpg

The family are no stranger to the colour gold, having won Swedish firm Clas Ohlson’s Celebrity Dad of the Year award in 2018, an achievement held in high regard across Europe.

It has been joked they may have to rename their song to appear more ‘vegan-friendly’, or face receiving ‘nil-point’, common for the Brits who were humiliated at last year’s 2021 contest.

Another suggestion put forward was ‘integrating pepperoni instead’ to fit with the ‘Italian pizza theme’, with one producer then inputting pepperoni ‘is actually American’

Their singles, however, have had a short sty in the charts, with their 2019 and 2020 number ones spending just TWO WEEKS within the Top 100.

Ladbaby may have big shoes to fill if they are selected - no UK Eurovision entry has topped the charts since Gina G in 1996, when the family were just 9 years old.

However with bookies’ favourite Sir Elton and Scotland’s favourite Ed Sheeran by their side, they may well be in with a chance.

In 2021 the group laughed at the idea of representing the UK in Eurovision, but it now may become a reality:

LadBaby supporters shared their approval at the suggestion:

LadBaby are not trolls

They have a high chance of winning with their sausage fuelled performance to raise money for charity

Potential song titles:

‘Sausage on a String’
‘My Tummy Goes Boom Bang-A-Bang (When I Eat Sausages)’
‘Save All Your Sausages For Me (Save Money, Save Weight)’
‘Make Your Mind Up (Are We Having Sausages Tonight?)’

It has been claimed to mark 50 years since the show was hosted in Edinburgh, the BBC want to ‘pay tribute’ to former winners.

No, those song titles can't happen, since they are copying former winners, and that is not allowed by the rules of EBU

It is a different song, but with similar titles, but with ‘hints of the 60s in there’

Nicky91 13-01-2022 12:50 PM

think ABBA composing a song for UK is more realistic than this

and given Dua Lipa is with that record label the BBC signed a deal with recently, there are more truths to that ABBA writing for Dua Lipa gossip story

do think ABBA-esque sound for Dua Lipa would fit her nicely given she already has a 80's sound to all her previous work anyway, and it is about time as well that UK would up their game massively again into a 2011 result, closer to top 10

Dua Lipa would never do Eurovision, unlike the more well known LadBaby, who are ready to face anything

And she does not have an 80s sound. Just because she did a duet with Elton on the most overplayed song ever and added in a beat.

Nicky91 13-01-2022 01:07 PM

where did you read most of this anyway Glib?

Dua Lipa is more well known and famous than these clowns ;) and Love Again also has a 80's sound, same goes for Don't Start Now and Physical

but fair enough it must mean something that they attract attention from Sir Elton John, Ed Sheeran too with that recent christmas hit of which they have the original of, most of the times a troll cover others would be insulted at but not Elton and Ed

Nope, LadBaby are worldwide superstars. They have had Number 1 hits everywhere and sold out during their 2020 Online Concert special

Crimson Dynamo 13-01-2022 01:29 PM

and they are pals with Ed Sheeran and Sir Elton

I think they could win it

:clap1:

You do realise that one of the fundamental rules of the competition is that is must be a completely original songs

Well let’s wait and see what LadBaby will surprise us with!

Nicky91 13-01-2022 01:38 PM

would be a nice new career venture for them in all fairness, to finally come up with something original instead of what they so far have been famous for, novelty parody work

idk if their record label has any connections with TaP Music though

possible songwriters who to contact, who has experience with fun songs, i'd say Phillipp Kirkorov, he has done many wonders with fun songs, such as Moldova 2018 and 2021 :)

Their song ‘Don’t Stop Me Eatin’, a Number 1 hit in 2020 was totally original. There were rumours it was originally penned in 1981 by band Journey, however the group dismissed these claims as ‘lies from sausage roll haters’.

Their annoying silly gimmick revolves around sausage rolls, coming up with something 'original' will probably be them singing about scotch eggs instead .

Crimson Dynamo 13-01-2022 01:46 PM

I say stick with the sausage rolls and give it some drum and base?

Don't Stop Believing

Don't Stop Me Eatin

;)

they are a parody act so far, like Weird Al Yankovic

but they do have some potential i think for a nice fun act with original work with the right composer/production team behind them in a major contest watched by 100 of millions of people

Nicky91 13-01-2022 01:53 PM

UK 2022 - Ladbaby Ft Taio Cruz - Sausage Rolls for Life

composers: Phillipp Kirkorov, Mark Ian Hoyle, Steve McCutcheon, Taio Cruz, Sharon Vaughn

 just putting it out here

The only producers they need are themselves.
Their prop shall be a giant sausage roll.

These clowns are an embarrassment.
