Sad news, I actually love some of his power ballads which just get bigger and bigger as the song goes off, the man had a heck of a voice

Niamh. 21-01-2022 07:13 AM

Ah RIP [emoji852]

AnnieK 21-01-2022 07:13 AM

Ah that's sad news. His health hasn't been good for a while but still a shock.

RIP

Cherie 21-01-2022 07:17 AM

Aw no loved some of his songs RIP

Nicky91 21-01-2022 07:22 AM

it is amazing he even got to become 74 if you look at the list of problems regarding his health

RIP, i loved most of his songs and i will continue to love his music

on our radio channels they played ''paradise by the dashboard light'' to honour him

AnnieK 21-01-2022 07:27 AM

Paradise by the Dashboard Light is my least favourite.....its been murdered by people singing karaoke and totally ruined for me

MTVN 21-01-2022 07:57 AM

My favourite Meat Loaf song. Strangely enough I don't think I'd heard any of his stuff for absolutely ages then this song just came to me randomly the other day and I started listening to it again

bitontheslide 21-01-2022 08:01 AM

he was a one off and a hell of an entertainer too

thesheriff443 21-01-2022 08:02 AM

I’m absolutely gutted

An absolute true legend

glib 21-01-2022 08:18 AM

Meat Loaf’s 1993 Number One single was there for 7 WEEKS back in 1993

But he first entered the UK Top 40 15 years early back in 1978, proving his longevity, scoring 17 top 40 singles between 1978-2006

RIP

A top ten single from 1981:

With Cher , who today claimed she is ‘sorry’ to his family , and then rhetorically asked if it was ‘just her’ or ‘are many people in the arts dying each day nowadays’
Yes Cher, I’m afraid to tell you your friends from the 60s are now in their 70s and 80s , the typical life expectancy in the US being 76 for males and 80 for females

arista 21-01-2022 08:22 AM

He will be missed.

thesheriff443 21-01-2022 08:23 AM

For crying out loud is an absolute masterpiece

hijaxers 21-01-2022 08:24 AM

Why do people always say that? There's literally a whole list in the song that he says he won't do :fist:

Here they are :

forget the way she feels right now

forgive himself if they don't go all the way that night

do it better than he does it with her

stop dreaming of her every night of his life

see that it's time to move on

be screwing around
