[We have arrested a 49-year-old woman,
she is known to the family.
I would like to stress that she is not the boy's mother.
'She is in custody currently and an
extensive investigation is underway.
We are not looking for anyone else
in relation to this incident.

'This incident is shocking and thoughts
at this time are with the boy's family,
both immediate and wider family
and of course his friends.

'The boy's school have been informed
and are providing the support available
through the schools trust and the
local authority to parents and pupils.]

Hearing about murder is something most of us can't wrap our heads around.
But to kill an innocent LITTLE CHILD , is beyond EVIL .

Imagine stabbing a 5 year old, that's horrific the poor baby and his poor mother too :(

The family is so upset

Its been revealed it was the boys Grandmother and she has been sectioned.

Poor family - coming to terms with the loss of a child is awful enough but at the hands of a family member is horrifying

Makes it even worse that a family member could do something so horrific, to a little child. I can't even imagine.

That makes it all worse

It's terrible news, especially given the fact that it was a family member that did it.
