It's not woke but it's ... bizarre.



It's not terrible but it's a bit clumsy. It's also really short so overall I'd say you might as well give it a go.

The best character by far is the detective.

It actually gets better 3 on and then it's a go

I mean, I personally would argue that "You" is semi-satirical to begin with, but yeah there's probably some inspiration there. I'd say it's more a parody of pulpy mystery novels and, in turn, the sort of trashy mystery shows that Netflix (and the beeb, and ITV etc.) churn out.

The last episode

That was the scene that made me fully realise that it's taking the peepee out of some Netflix-drama tropes :joker:.

but as in ALL tv shows no one gets actually drunk as it would f up the dialogue

The wine glass looks like it's getting bigger everytime as well and yeah I was thinking the day she was supposed to go on that blind date in Ep 1 she drank a whole glass/ bottle of wine

for a woman that size she would be pretty drunk, alky or not
