Valentines Day

A day in which Al Capone ruined for a lot of diner's by massacring them.

Any romantic plans yourself?

I was just thinking, is there a man alive who has ever looked forward to Valentine's day?

I cant think there can be one

We send each other a card... My OH is forbidden from buying overpriced flowers and I don't really want to sit in a restaurant on one of their busiest nights of the year. It's a bloody commercial spend-fest.

Sounds like it's a microwave Lean Cuisine for two at Livia's place.

Can't comment on Christmas Day as I've never tried a restaurant on that day. But no surprises it would be fully booked.

As for mother's Day and Valentine's .. yeah it can get very busy, but it's still nice sometimes to go out on those dates.

Xmas day stay home invite family over, much more relaxing and less costly , and you can stay there, no driving here there and everywhere

Valentine’s Day, maybe a homemade meal for two, or one of those M&S meal pack things, wine, living room decorated, perfect

Mother’s Day, you have to take your mum out

We went for a meal on Saturday and then on to a good pub, I gave her a 120 pound pocket money.

Always exchange cards.
Once the kids came along the restaurant meal stopped, we settle for a takeaway.
Normally buy hubby a bottle of plonk and I receive red roses, the house is upside down with the builders so I told hubby not to bother.
